United States Cuts UN Budget by $285 Million

Among a host of other successes, the United States negotiated a reduction of over $285 million off the 2016-2017 final budget. In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key U.S. priorities throughout the world, and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system.

The Palestinian Authority announced Thursday that Vice President Mike Pence would not be welcomed during his visit to Israel later this month, following President Donald Trump’s announcement Wednesday recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordering the relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The preamble, in addition to expressing “support for the Charlottesville community,” demands of the President that he rejects “White nationalists, White supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups” and urges him and his cabinet to “use all available resources to address the threats posed by those groups”.
