Donald Trump: ‘I Wish I Did’ Pick Someone Other Than Jeff Sessions as Attorney General

16

President Donald Trump, citing remarks made by Rep. Trey Gowdy on Fox News, expressed frustration with his attorney general and tweeted out a wish that he could have chosen someone other than Jeff Sessions for the job.

Funny. That’s what a lot of conservatives have been saying and thinking for some time.

Trump’s tweet came after Gowdy said on Fox that he understood why the president was a bit frustrated with Sessions, because Sessions could have given a heads-up he was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation before he was tapped for the attorney general position.

And this:

And then this:

From Breitbart:

President Donald Trump again expressed his frustration with Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter Wednesday, citing remarks from Rep. Trey Gowdy on Fox News.

Gowdy said that he understood why Trump was frustrated with Sessions, because the Alabama Senator should have explained to the president that he would recuse himself from the Russia investigation before taking the job.

“There are lots of really good lawyers in the country, he could have picked somebody else,” Gowdy concluded.

“And I wish I did!” Trump added on Twitter.

Trump frustration with Sessions has mounted in recent days, particularly after learning that Sessions was a key witness for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of charges against the president for obstruction.

The New York Times reported that Trump asked Sessions in March 2017 to un-recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

Sessions refused, prompting more anger from the president.

I used to have the greatest of respect, for Representative Gowdy. Not the first time that I’ve had the wool pulled over my eyes. And, probably not the last. However, I now see Gowdy for the swamp creature, deeply imbedded into the “deep state”, that he is.

You’ll be shocked very soon. This is all smoke and mirrors.

There are pleasant shocks, such as a gift of great value. There are other shocks that are quite unpleasant. I’m praying for the first type, as I have had more than enough of the second.

I really want to believe that of Jeff Sessions.
I honestly WANT TO BE WRONG about Sessions.

Over at the Conservative Tree House, Sundance has been protective of him too….

I am sticking with #QAnon. They can’t let the rabbit out of the hat, yet. Sessions will deliver. Mark my words.

I am having more and more difficulty believing that.
Persuade me…. Gaetz a Rep.from Florida states Sessions sympathizes with the FBI and the CIA.

From what I have read and seen, Sessions appears to be more concerned with the image of the institution and his love for them then exposing the ROT in them.

So do I. Sessions has basically recused himself from endorsing the law. He does nothing to protect Trump and stop this ridiculous Russia charade. It is hurting the country and a distraction.

He is part of clinton mafia so going after Trump with fake cases .

Clinton mafia still active after Trump takeover as they kill another witness to email investigation http://tinyurl.com/y8p9cv5l

They know their hold overs in FBI / DOJ /NSC will help them out !

Unless they are totally purged including Left/Liberal judges not involved in the cases to keep out their bias …its uphill task to prosecute them.

Trump should list out reasons why he is incompetent and breach of trust for colluding with biased democrats and call for his resignation

Nearly a year and a half into the Trump presidency and this Sessions guy does nothing but work against the President and the American people. EVERY DAY he’s in office, he’s contributing to our country’s downfall. So, why is he still there.

SOLUTION: Just PROMOTE Sessions to a different Job; to free up the position.
Put him in an “advisory” role.
That way if he accepts, it leaves the position open for someone else (i think that’s how it works).

Or Jeff should just have the decency to resign.

Sessions is so invisible, I have to ask: does he wear a burqa?

So, you made a mistake. Fix it! Get somebody in that position that will start taking names and kicking asses. No, not another politician. Hire a REAL prosecutor! Oh yeah……LOCK HER UP!
