For the entirety of the early part of the twenty-first century, Westerners have been consistently lectured about the superior morals and history of the culture that has given rise to numerous deadly terror attacks. We’re way beyond that now. Today, rich leftists don’t just support the Marxist revolutionaries who would destroy the comforts of society that those leftists take for granted; they’re actually joining them in small criminal and anarchic acts, all while the intelligentsia cheers them on from the pages of the New York Times.

As a professor at Georgetown University and Washington Post columnist, Shadi Hamid is a made guy in today’s leftist establishment, and it is from those positions of oracular authority that he has delivered a sobering message to the growing movement to ban Sharia in the United States. In the WaPo on Wednesday, he declared that Muslims should not have to assimilate into American society and should not be expected to do so, and that efforts to ban Sharia were not only bigoted and “Islamophobic,” but also futile, as Muslims simply weren’t going to give Sharia up. And he’s right about that part, albeit in the midst of being wildly disingenuous about the nature of Sharia itself.

In a video that began circulating widely on Thursday, the Roman Catholic Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, stated: “Wake up. Islam is a danger. If Christians don’t start caring about our faith, Islam will take over the West. They’ll impose their laws and culture. They’ll grow massively in number. And we will decline.”

The video went viral on Wednesday: a well-fed, hijabed Muslim woman in a U.S. military uniform, smiling happily, affirmed that she would not obey orders if they involved her attacking people who were not Muslims. She is by no means the first Muslim to say this, and won’t be the last. Apparently it would be “Islamophobic” for the United States to keep disloyal soldiers out of the military.

Jalloh was “focused on conducting a Fort Hood-style massacre against the United States armed forces,” which appears to be something like the attack he carried out on Thursday. However, Jalloh “also spoke to an undercover FBI source designated “CHS1” about other potential operations, including killing a specific person. Evidence suggests the most likely target was Pamela Geller.” He fulminated against her for organizing the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas in May 2015, and declared that she ought to be targeted for allegedly insulting Muhammad.

So what is unclear about Mohamed Jalloh’s motive? He was convicted of supporting the Islamic State (ISIS) in 2017 and just released from prison in December 2024. His rage at Geller over the drawings of Muhammad make his motive abundantly clear. After he was released from prison, why wasn’t he stripped of his citizenship (he was a native of Sierra Leone and a naturalized citizen of the U.S.) and deported?

Can the Islamic Republic of Iran defeat the United States? Certainly it can. It can do so in the same way that the Taliban defeated the United States in Afghanistan: by outlasting it.

Last Sunday, as a massive blizzard hit New York City, Comrade Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani posted praise of municipal workers on X: “Grateful for the public workers who keep NYC running — especially in a blizzard. From 5am suhoor with @NYCSanitation to visits to @nycparks’ Randall’s Island garage, DSNY’s Flushing plow shed & @nycdot’s salting operation … it’s working people who show up for NYC.”

An ongoing controversy in Britain could do nothing less than change the course of that country’s history, and that of the entire world.

One of the more noxious aspects of Zohran Mamdani’s campaign to be mayor of New York City is the reappearance of Linda Sarsour, the far-left, oxymoronically hijab-wearing “feminist” activist who rocketed to international fame some years ago as the hate-filled face of the leftist/Islamic alliance, glossing over the human rights abuses of Sharia and demonizing Israel with extravagant false claims long before doing so became the left’s favorite pastime.

The Heritage Foundation gave efforts to bring the hatred of Jews into the mainstream among patriots a massive boost on Thursday, when its president, Kevin Roberts, published a video declaring the Foundation’s stout and wholehearted support for Tucker Carlson, who has done more than anyone (with the possible exception of Candace Owens) to make Americans believe that hating Jews and wishing the worst possible fates upon them is just good old-fashioned America-First patriotism.

The left has been working for years on the world we live in now, and all around us we can see the fruit of their labors: dirty, dangerous cities, homeless encampments, cannabis stores, rising crime, and so much more. New York’s WABC on Friday gave us another reason to thank our leftist bureaucrats and elected officials as it told a harrowing story: “A man is under arrest on Friday in a gruesome homicide on Long Island after his wife was found dead and suffering from facial burns — covered with a chemical substance.”

I am, in other words, someone who is deeply concerned about the Jews because I am deeply concerned about the human rights of all people, and I cannot stand by idly as an entire people is demonized.

That’s why I am asking you most urgently to think very carefully about Zohran Mamdani. Just as we have seen where socialism leads, so also we have seen where the large-scale demonization of the Jews leads.

Jihad al-Shamie’s name was indeed an omen. But it was an omen that the entire Western world has been trained to disregard and ignore. And so there will be many more jihads, just like the one al-Shamie carried out in Manchester, and much larger-scale operations as well. The West has sown the wind, and is beginning to reap the whirlwind.

Zohran Mamdani is about to become mayor of New York, and yet a year ago, virtually no one outside of his state assembly district had ever heard of him. What accounts for his meteoric rise to international fame and almost certain election as mayor of what was once the greatest city in the world? The answer is obvious: he has the backing of George Soros, the far-left multibillionaire who finances so much of the international left today.

To make the occasion, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued a report on the Secret Service errors and lapses of judgment that led to the shooter, Thomas Crooks, to be able to get Trump in his sights and have a clear, unobstructed, easy shot. If Trump hadn’t turned his head at the very moment of the shot, he would have been killed on that day. And as damning as the new report is, it demonstrates definitively that the corrupt system that made the assassination attempt possible is still very much in place.

Back in May 2022, a Muslim identified only as Mohammed L. murdered Alban Gervaise, a 40-year-old physician, by stabbing him multiple times as Gervaise was picking up two of his children, whose ages were three and seven, from school in the venerable French city of Marseille. As he stabbed Gervaise, Mohammed repeatedly screamed “Allahu akbar,” and later explained that he committed the murder “in the name of Allah.” Mohammed L. will not, however, stand trial for murdering Alban Gervaise. He has been declared “mentally unfit to stand trial.”

The facts of the matter are straightforward. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is striking back against the Obama/Biden cultural revolution by, among other actions, renaming the USNS Harvey Milk, a Navy oil tanker, after Medal of Honor recipient Oscar V. Peterson. The reactions from leftists, however, are as predictable as they are revealing.

An avalanche of revelations has come to us recently about Old Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and abject unfitness to hold the office of president. As was entirely predictable, some of the most vociferous purveyors of lies and libels about Israeli “genocide” have been falling all over themselves to denounce Elias Rodriguez and his “Free Palestine” murders of two Israelis outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. The thoroughly indoctrinated leftist street thugs may have no problem with openly applauding the murders, but far-left leaders have to maintain their reputations, and so even some of the most voluble foes of the Jewish state have been condemning antisemitism
