Today marks the first anniversary of the attempt on Donald Trump’s life at his campaign rally in Butler, Pa. To make the occasion, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued a report on the Secret Service errors and lapses of judgment that led to the shooter, Thomas Crooks, to be able to get Trump in his sights and have a clear, unobstructed, easy shot. If Trump hadn’t turned his head at the very moment of the shot, he would have been killed on that day. And as damning as the new report is, it demonstrates definitively that the corrupt system that made the assassination attempt possible is still very much in place.

Back in May 2022, a Muslim identified only as Mohammed L. murdered Alban Gervaise, a 40-year-old physician, by stabbing him multiple times as Gervaise was picking up two of his children, whose ages were three and seven, from school in the venerable French city of Marseille. As he stabbed Gervaise, Mohammed repeatedly screamed “Allahu akbar,” and later explained that he committed the murder “in the name of Allah.” Mohammed L. will not, however, stand trial for murdering Alban Gervaise. He has been declared “mentally unfit to stand trial.”

The facts of the matter are straightforward. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is striking back against the Obama/Biden cultural revolution by, among other actions, renaming the USNS Harvey Milk, a Navy oil tanker, after Medal of Honor recipient Oscar V. Peterson. The reactions from leftists, however, are as predictable as they are revealing.

She thinks America is among “the worst of countries.” Yet despite her expressed hope in the 2022 video, she is likely to remain in the country she hates. After all, there is so much more work to do in order to ensure its destruction.

Far from being a bully or a loser who is jealous of the delusional men’s attainments, meanwhile, Riley Gaines was a genuine female collegiate swimmer of considerable accomplishment.

The thoroughly indoctrinated leftist street thugs may have no problem with openly applauding the murders, but far-left leaders have to maintain their reputations, and so even some of the most voluble foes of the Jewish state have been condemning antisemitism

How insane is today’s public discourse regarding Islam and jihad?

The news hit like a thunderbolt on Saturday, amid an avalanche of stories claiming that Trump is angry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and is changing course from his previous wholehearted support of Israel’s defense against Hamas and the other jihadist entities that are determined to destroy it. As is so often the case in such matters, however, there was decidedly less to the story than there initially appeared to be.

Nihad Awad, the cofounder and longtime executive director of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has plenty of reasons to be happy. He notoriously said that the October 7 jihad massacre of 1,200 Israelis made him “happy,” and now it has been revealed that he has over seven million other reasons for a smile to break out on his taciturn, creepy face: that’s the amount of taxpayer funds his sinister organization has received, despite its links to one of the most evil groups on the planet.

These are the people whom Barack Obama and Old Joe Biden wanted for years to take power in Syria.

Gabbard has begun the road back to realism and honesty regarding where the real terror threat is coming from. The problem she faces is that the views of Biden, Garland and Wray have been spread for years within the intelligence community, not just during the Biden regime, but during the Obama years as well. In a video that circulated on X Tuesday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan did it again. He declared that “Islam is peace, love and tolerance. Islam celebrates diversity because diversity is our strength!” Coming just days before Hamas made its revolting display of bloodlust and hatred as it turned over the bodies that were supposed to be of four Israeli hostages it had murdered, but were actually only three of them plus an unidentified woman, this was particularly easy to dismiss.

The tragedy of it, however, is that some people still believe it, and this is no harmless fantasy: it is costing lives. One of them was in a coffin Hamas paraded around Thursday as Gaza’s “innocent civilians” cheered lustily at the sight of dead Jews.

This is a small bit of good news, which is unusual today shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain, but it only represents small victory against the ongoing rush of madness. The fact that this battle even had to be fought is an indication of the terrible decline of modern Britain, and its imminent demise as a free society.

Too many CAIR officials keep letting the mask slip.

Aspects of the story suggest that this was not just an attack of Antifa terrorists targeting synagogues out of their burning hatred for Israel. On Saturday morning, a man went to the Beth Yaacov synagogue in the seaside French resort of La Grande-Motte, where he set two vehicles on fire. The fire spread to the doors of the synagogue and injured a police officer. A French intelligence official stated: “The suspect is Arab with a Palestinian flag tied around his waist and a handgun on his belt.” Of course he was.
