As then-German Chanceller Angela Merkel flung open her nation’s doors to millions of Muslim migrants back in 2015, she offered her unfortunate countrymen, who had no idea what they were in for, a slogan for the whole enterprise that was positively American in its chipper optimism: Wir schaffen das, or “We can do this!” In the eleven years since then, Merkel’s perky phrase has proven true in innumerable contexts: Germans sure can do this! As long, that is, as they keep on outrunning the knife-wielding Muslim migrants.

I’m old enough to remember, since it was just a few weeks ago, when President Donald Trump was praising the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and suggesting that since they were so calm and reasonable, as opposed to those whom they had replaced, that regime change had been effectively accomplished, even if the regime still bore the same.

It was the late twentieth-century conservative pundit M. Stanton Evans who was the first to dub the Republican Party the Stupid Party, and the Democrat Party the Evil Party: “We have two parties and only two. One is the evil party and the other is the stupid party. I’m very proud to be a member of the stupid party. Occasionally, the two parties get together to do something that’s evil and stupid. That’s called bipartisanship.”

The story is all too predictable. What could anyone have expected when women in Afghanistan, of all places, decided to take to the streets to protest the Taliban’s Islamic dress code? The South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) reported recently that “on June 9, at least two people, including a woman and a child, were killed and many others wounded after Taliban opened fire on protesters in Herat city of Herat Province, reports Amu TV. The violence erupted after residents took to the streets to protest the detention of women and girls accused of violating the Taliban’s dress code.”

Don Knebel, a hail-fellow-well-met feelgood columnist for the Indiana Citizen, is peeved at Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith. It seems that Beckwith “recently said that we should give people ‘permission to hate again’ so they, like he, can hate Islam. He then wished Muslims, the practitioners of Islam, ‘the best,’ but only if they become Christians.”

The leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran know that all they had to do in order to emerge victorious from this conflict was wait out the United States until the conflict became politically too costly, or potentially costly, for the Trump administration to pursue.

In a prayer to Allah at the Illinois General Assembly, a hijab-wearing woman said: Bismillah al-rahman al-raheem. We turn to you in gratitude and remembrance. O Lord, remind us that the history of Islam in America is not a story that began in 1965, nor one that arrived upon distant shores in the twentieth century….

Remigration activist Dries Van Langenhove reported Wednesday that “Mohamed Bakkali, the logistical brain behind the Paris and Bataclan attacks that killed 129 and wounded hundreds more, is allowed penitentiary leave by the Brussels court. If Bakkali continues his ‘calm and good behaviour’ according to the court, he could soon be freed indefinitely.”

The wealthy and powerful Islamic states of the past, including the great caliphates as well as the Mughal empire in India and others, weren’t great centers of manufacturing or agriculture, or of mercantile acumen. For the entirety of the early part of the twenty-first century, Westerners have been consistently lectured about the superior morals and history of the culture that has given rise to numerous deadly terror attacks. The smarmiest and most self-righteous of all FBI directors, James Comey, has been indicted again. Fox News reported Tuesday that “the charges appear to be in relation to a May 2025 Instagram photo of an ‘86 47’ shell formation on a beach.” Comey claims that he didn’t know what “86” meant. His explanation of why he shared the photo, however, doesn’t stand up to even the most superficial scrutiny.

Back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, we had what the great Tom Wolfe indelibly dubbed “radical chic”: the tendency of rich leftists to support causes that, if they triumphed, would destroy their comfortable benefactors utterly. We’re way beyond that now. Today, rich leftists don’t just support the Marxist revolutionaries who would destroy the comforts of society that those leftists take for granted; they’re actually joining them in small criminal and anarchic acts, all while the intelligentsia cheers them on from the pages of the New York Times.

As a professor at Georgetown University and Washington Post columnist, Shadi Hamid is a made guy in today’s leftist establishment, and it is from those positions of oracular authority that he has delivered a sobering message to the growing movement to ban Sharia in the United States. In the WaPo on Wednesday, he declared that Muslims should not have to assimilate into American society and should not be expected to do so, and that efforts to ban Sharia were not only bigoted and “Islamophobic,” but also futile, as Muslims simply weren’t going to give Sharia up. And he’s right about that part, albeit in the midst of being wildly disingenuous about the nature of Sharia itself.

Graham Platner is running for the U.S. Senate from Maine, and since he is a socialist and Maine’s far-left large cities have disenfranchised its patriotic hinterlands, he will likely win. Platner is, running into a bit of flak over the fact that he has a large skull and crossbones tattoo on his chest that strongly…

In a video that began circulating widely on Thursday, the Roman Catholic Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, stated: “Wake up. Islam is a danger. If Christians don’t start caring about our faith, Islam will take over the West. They’ll impose their laws and culture. They’ll grow massively in number. And we will decline.”

The video went viral on Wednesday: a well-fed, hijabed Muslim woman in a U.S. military uniform, smiling happily, affirmed that she would not obey orders if they involved her attacking people who were not Muslims. She is by no means the first Muslim to say this, and won’t be the last. Apparently it would be “Islamophobic” for the United States to keep disloyal soldiers out of the military.

For one side, this is a religious war from start to finish, between Islam and non-Muslims. The other side does all it can to pretend that is not the case. As as this denial and willful ignorance continues, so also will this religious war.

Jalloh was “focused on conducting a Fort Hood-style massacre against the United States armed forces,” which appears to be something like the attack he carried out on Thursday. However, Jalloh “also spoke to an undercover FBI source designated “CHS1” about other potential operations, including killing a specific person. Evidence suggests the most likely target was Pamela Geller.” He fulminated against her for organizing the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas in May 2015, and declared that she ought to be targeted for allegedly insulting Muhammad.

So what is unclear about Mohamed Jalloh’s motive? He was convicted of supporting the Islamic State (ISIS) in 2017 and just released from prison in December 2024. His rage at Geller over the drawings of Muhammad make his motive abundantly clear. After he was released from prison, why wasn’t he stripped of his citizenship (he was a native of Sierra Leone and a naturalized citizen of the U.S.) and deported?

Can the Islamic Republic of Iran defeat the United States? Certainly it can. It can do so in the same way that the Taliban defeated the United States in Afghanistan: by outlasting it.

Last Sunday, as a massive blizzard hit New York City, Comrade Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani posted praise of municipal workers on X: “Grateful for the public workers who keep NYC running — especially in a blizzard. From 5am suhoor with @NYCSanitation to visits to @nycparks’ Randall’s Island garage, DSNY’s Flushing plow shed & @nycdot’s salting operation … it’s working people who show up for NYC.”

An ongoing controversy in Britain could do nothing less than change the course of that country’s history, and that of the entire world.

Whatever else Barack Obama’s new “presidential center” in Chicago is intended to be, it looks as ominous and forbidding as the man himself looked on January 20, 2017, when he took the Oath of Office as president of the United States with all the grim determination that any Marxist apparatchik has ever felt as he undertook the destruction of another bourgeois principality.

One of the more noxious aspects of Zohran Mamdani’s campaign to be mayor of New York City is the reappearance of Linda Sarsour, the far-left, oxymoronically hijab-wearing “feminist” activist who rocketed to international fame some years ago as the hate-filled face of the leftist/Islamic alliance, glossing over the human rights abuses of Sharia and demonizing Israel with extravagant false claims long before doing so became the left’s favorite pastime.

The Heritage Foundation gave efforts to bring the hatred of Jews into the mainstream among patriots a massive boost on Thursday, when its president, Kevin Roberts, published a video declaring the Foundation’s stout and wholehearted support for Tucker Carlson, who has done more than anyone (with the possible exception of Candace Owens) to make Americans believe that hating Jews and wishing the worst possible fates upon them is just good old-fashioned America-First patriotism.

The left has been working for years on the world we live in now, and all around us we can see the fruit of their labors: dirty, dangerous cities, homeless encampments, cannabis stores, rising crime, and so much more. New York’s WABC on Friday gave us another reason to thank our leftist bureaucrats and elected officials as it told a harrowing story: “A man is under arrest on Friday in a gruesome homicide on Long Island after his wife was found dead and suffering from facial burns — covered with a chemical substance.”

I am, in other words, someone who is deeply concerned about the Jews because I am deeply concerned about the human rights of all people, and I cannot stand by idly as an entire people is demonized.

That’s why I am asking you most urgently to think very carefully about Zohran Mamdani. Just as we have seen where socialism leads, so also we have seen where the large-scale demonization of the Jews leads.

Jihad al-Shamie’s name was indeed an omen. But it was an omen that the entire Western world has been trained to disregard and ignore. And so there will be many more jihads, just like the one al-Shamie carried out in Manchester, and much larger-scale operations as well. The West has sown the wind, and is beginning to reap the whirlwind.

Now, however, it is even clearer that the whole Jan. 6 “insurrection” was an attempt to frame Trump for allegedly trying to overthrow the government, which, if it had worked, would have kept him from running for president again: it has now come to light that 274 undercover FBI agents were in the crowd on that day.

In an historic speech today at the United Nations, President Donald Trump called them all out: the globalists, the socialists, the internationalists, the drug traffickers, the Sharia purveyors, the jihadists, and more: the whole of the leftist elite class that is doing all it can to impose the darkness of totalitarianism upon the world.
