Mahmoud Abbas’ Lies About the Balfour Declaration, and the Truth About It

Lord Balfour wrote in his letter to Lord Rothschild (“Balfour Declaration” is the name by which that letter was subsequently known), a long-overdue recognition by His Majesty’s Government of the historic connection of the Jewish people to what they call Eretz Israel, the Land of Israel, the place where Jews had lived uninterruptedly for more than 3,000 years.

The Ungrateful, Insulting Palestinians

The late Palestinian activist Nizar Banat uploaded scathing videos about the corruption in the Palestinian Authority (PA), and especially that in which Mahmoud Abbas was implicated; for his pains, Abbas had his goons beat Banat to death, giving new meaning to the phrase about “silencing your critics.” Many Palestinians have been up in arms about recent high-profile appointments of close relatives of senior PA officials to positions in the government for which they were distinctly unqualified.

Mahmoud Abbas In Wonderland

Not only has Mahmoud Abbas threatened to “rescind the recognition” of Israel by the P.A., but he is also calling on the Biden Administration to “rescind” the 1987 Congressional designation of the PLO as a terror group, which US presidents for over 30 years have waived every six months.

The One Demand Mahmoud Abbas Makes That Is Impossible to Fulfill

Mahmoud Abbas recently met with Nancy Pelosi in Ramallah. No new ground was broken; instead, Abbas made the same demands he has made innumerable times before, in front of a wide variety of American and European politicians. Chief among his demands, not unexpectedly, was that Israeli “settlement activity” must cease immediately if there is to be any hope of peace.

Mahmoud Abbas Should Learn About Nancy Pelosi’s Father

Nancy Pelosi has many faults, but a failure to support Israel is not one of them. In Congress, the Speaker of the House has always been a strong supporter of the Jewish state. She inherited her strong sympathies from her father, Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., who was first a Congressman from Maryland and later the Mayor of Baltimore, and who played an unsung role in supporting a campaign to force Franklin Delano Roosevelt to help Jewish refugees, and in urging American recognition of the state of Israel.

What the Biden Administration Should Do Now About the Palestinian Authority

The Palestinian Authority elections were called not because Palestinian Authority President-for-Life Mahmoud Abbas had suddenly become a believer in democracy, but because he wanted to put on a show for the Americans, with what he thought would be a reasonable facsimile of democracy, hoping thereby to turn on the spigot of aid that Trump had turned off. But when it became clear he would lose both the presidential and the parliamentary elections, he cancelled the elections.

Buoyed By Washington’s Support, the Palestinian Authority Shows Its Fangs

The Biden Administration seems to believe that the best way to oppose the terror group Hamas is to support its arch-rival, the Palestinian Authority. Mahmoud Abbas may be a despot, a President-For-Life now entering the sixteenth year of his four-year term; he may have his goons threaten and intimidate his critics, but at least he isn’t launching rockets into Israel.

Shin Bet Chief Visits Abbas, Warns About A Hamas Win

Mahmoud Abbas is the PA’s President-for-Life, now entering the 16th year of his four-year term. He has decided to hold parliamentary and presidential elections this summer, in order to impress the Biden Administration with his suddenly-discovered democratic credentials. But there are problems, and Nadav Argaman, the Shin Bet head, went to visit the rais in Ramallah to discuss a worrisome possibility.

Kerry coaches Abbas: ‘Stay strong, Trump will soon be out of office’

According to a report in Israel’s Maariv newspaper, John Kerry, secretary of state under former president Barak Obama, held a meeting with a confidante of Mahmoud Abbas named Hussein Agha, in which he encouraged the Palestinian leader to defy President Trump and his peace-making efforts in the region. Abbas, Kerry said, “should stay strong in his spirit and play for time.” Kerry warned Abbas “not [to] break” or “yield to President Trump’s demands.”
