“Palestinians” to Give US Ultimatum on “Peace Process”

69

The chutzpah. The “Palestinians” should be receiving ultimatums from President Trump about ending their genocidal incitement and Jew-hatred. Instead, the Trump administration has lost its way, and Mahmoud Abbas and his henchmen think they’re in the driver’s seat, able to call on “Palestinian” Muslims to murder Israelis wholesale on the one hand and then pose as “peace partners” on the other. And why shouldn’t they think this? They keep getting away with it.

“Report: Palestinians to Give US Ultimatum on Peace Process,” United With Israel, August 23, 2017:

The Palestinians are threatening diplomatic warfare if the US does not give in to their demands.

Story continues below advertisement

The Palestinians have decided to present President Donald Trump’s envoys, Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt, with an ultimatum at their upcoming meeting with Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas at the end of the month.

The Palestinian ultimatum states that unless progress is made within 45 days on launching talks with the Israelis, the Palestinians will consider themselves no longer committed to the US mediation and will turn to an alternative plan to push for unilateral United Nations recognition of a Palestinian state.

A senior Palestinian source told Shlomi Eldar, a senior Palestinian affairs reporter writing for Al-Monitor, that Abbas is running out of the time he has to govern and cannot waste it on “games.”

Abbas is demanding that Trump publicly declare that the US regards the two-state solution as the only solution and that he insist Israel “stop creating facts on the ground” through construction in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

Trump has said he would accept any solution that would resolve the conflict. “Looking at two-state and one-state, and I like the one that both parties like,” he said in February, at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington.

“If we don’t hear within a month and a half that the American team has stopped talking and started doing, Abbas intends to mobilize anyone and everyone he can for the UN General Assembly session on the establishment of a Palestinian state, regardless of the Israeli and American reactions,” the official told Al-Monitor.

Abbas expressed frustration with the US on Sunday, saying he has met with the American representatives 20 times since Trump took office in January but still had no clear vision of what peace plan they had in mind.

“I don’t understand their conduct toward us, as inside his country the administration is in chaos,” Abbas was quoted as saying….

The Americans will fold, it is too ingrained in amateur middle east diplomacy to do anything but grovel in front of the palestinians, who know that America has no desire to do anything but persue a policy of appeasement with the palestinians. My hope is not with our American representatives. The fundamental problem is one that is simply not solvable by any solution presently available to these parties, and it should be seen for what it is. Adding blinders will result in nothing positive. Simply put, there will always be a large and active group of Arab’s that intend to act in a blood lust and push the Jewish people into the sea. They intend to take all of the land presently occupied by Israel, and they have it in their charters that is their intention. Can any reasonable resolution result in a solution whereby the Israelis are required to accept a border state that intends their destruction. I think that is out of the question. I expect that the leaders in Israel know that. The only resolution is for all the Arab’s to be resettled into presently existing Arab countries and the creation of borders with those Arab countries, enabling both the Arab countries and Israel to bear the responsibility of keeping, to the best of their ability, those among the Arabs who would commit acts of blood lust terror against the Jewish people of Israel in some kind of controlled environment. Sure this will not end the terror that is built into the mindset of the Arab’s, but it gives the Israelis a better chance at defending themselves. Those Arab’s have grown up with and been taught to Hate, and no two state solution will leave Israel with any expectation of being able to share borders with those people. Unless we all recognize that, we might be opening the gates of conflagration that will not result in anything less than extermination. That, to me, is the only real solution to what seems to be a never ending problem.

I’m sorry for being logical, but isn’t having a 4,000 year old book, not to mention it’s the most sold book of all time, that places the Jewish nation in the Land of Israel BEFORE the invading armies of Mecca took it over? How much more nonsense can people keep talking about?

On a different note, why are we all showing pictures of McCain with ISIS leader Al-Bagdadi in a photoshoot anyone can see with a click of the keyboard and two clicks of the mouse? Let’s build the 2nd Temple already. I can’t wait any more for Jesus to come home. All this nonsense has to stop already.

Trump is not about to cave on this. Part of the problem is Jared. He truly is an IDIOT and Obama set this up through the U.N. in the last vote where the land Israel gained after the 1967 war should belong to Palestine. FALSE. It is Israels land.

Through years of subservient U.S. policies to others, we are viewed as weak and easily pushed around. The U.S. has lost allot of respect. Can you recall all the “red lines” Obama drew and did nothing? How about the Iran deal? It was all AGAINST the U.S.!

“The Palestinian ultimatum states that unless progress is made within 45 days on launching talks with the Israelis,…” What is he going to do, invade Israel? The palestinian people should be protesting outside of this idiot’s office daily until he is removed for essentially leading them to ultimate suicidal destruction. He’s only making those kinds of ultimatums, because he has been emboldened from some great power. And the list of potentials is short. He may learn in very short order, that all his blustery talk and refusal to accept any deal was not worth losing everything. Because after the next war, it could very well be, the palestinians will be looking for a new home.

Jared is an idiot. Over the years under Obama, the U.S. has lost respect. We have gotten weaker. We are no longer a strong country. They KNOW this. Obama set this up for them to snuggle up to the anti-Israel vote. They are simply following through on the outcome of the U.N. vote.

Obama set this up by voting against Israel before he left office. Remember this?

Obama Gives Parting Middle Finger to Israel with Anti-Settlement Resolution
December 23, 2016

On Friday, as Israelis marked the Sabbath here in the Jewish state, Obama stuck it to Israel, perhaps one final time, when the U.S. abstained from voting on a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a halt to Israeli construction in the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem, thereby allowing the measure to pass.

The move was a dramatic departure from the longstanding U.S. policy of vetoing anti-Israel resolutions.

And make no mistake about it. This was an anti-Israel resolution.

The text of the resolution repeatedly and wrongly refers to the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem as “Palestinian territory occupied since 1967.” This fraudulent language technically places the Western Wall and Temple Mount plaza under the “Palestinian territory” qualification.

In actuality, the Palestinians never had a state in either the West Bank or eastern Jerusalem, and they are not legally recognized as the undisputed authority in those areas.

Jordan occupied and annexed the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem from 1948 until Israel captured the lands in a defensive war in 1967 after Arab countries used the territories to launch attacks against the Jewish state. In 1988 Jordan officially renounced its claims to the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem.

The text of the resolution declares that the Israeli settlement enterprise has “no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-state solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.”

It calls for Israel to “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.”

As I pointed out earlier this week, and numerous times in the past, existing international law does not make Israeli settlements illegal.

What Obama has done by refusing to veto a resolution calling for Israel to “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem” is set the stage for an enhancement of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement around the world.

Indeed, the BDS campaign will now be placed on steroids, since the anti-Semitic campaign can point to the resolution as so-called evidence that products made in the settlements were produced in “illegal territories.”

The resolution also usurps U.S. policy toward Israeli settlements weeks before Donald Trump is slated to be sworn into office.

The UN measure entirely contradicts a Bush administration commitment to allow some existing Jewish settlements to remain under a future Israeli-Palestinian deal. As I documented earlier this week, that U.S. commitment, which the Obama administration has repeatedly violated by condemning settlement activity, was reportedly a key element in Israel’s decision to unilaterally evacuate the Gaza Strip in 2005.

While couched in diplomatic language of “Israeli settlement activity,” the resolution basically exclaims that Jews building in settlements is an impediment to peace, implying that a future Palestinian state must be Jew-free.

The text expresses “grave concern that continuing Israeli settlement activities are dangerously imperiling the viability of the two-State solution based on the 1967 lines.”

Here is my take to that part of the text, expressed in the analysis piece earlier this week:

What exactly is the problem with Jews building communities in the West Bank or eastern Jerusalem, areas with deep historical and religious significance to Judaism? Condemning Jewish construction in these areas would seem to support Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ extremist position that not a single Israeli can live in a future Palestinian state. “In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli — civilian or soldier — on our lands,” Abbas said.

The UN draft resolution text does not even mention rampant illegal Palestinian construction on Jewish-owned property in eastern sections of Jerusalem, including the construction of dozens of apartment buildings on about 270 acres in the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Qalandiya and Kfar Akev, and about 50 acres in a north Jerusalem suburb known as Shoafat. The land is indisputably owned by a U.S.-based Jewish group. The illegal Palestinian construction has created “facts on the ground” due to which these areas are largely considered to be areas that would become part of a future Palestinian state.

The entire resolution is not necessary to advance a Palestinian state and can only be seen as a diplomatic assault on Israel. The measure singles out Israeli settlements in the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem as the main obstacles blocking a two-state solution, farcically ignoring that the PA has repeatedly refused Israeli offers of a state in those very areas.

If the Palestinians wanted a state, they would not have to resort to introducing anti-Israel resolutions at the UN. Israel has offered the Palestinians a state in much of the West Bank and Gaza Strip with a shared capital in Jerusalem numerous times. These offers were made at Camp David in 2000, Taba in 2001, the Annapolis Conference in 2007, and more offers were made in 2008. In each of these cases, the PA refused generous Israeli offers of statehood and bolted negotiations without counteroffers.

The PA has failed to respond to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s unprecedented attempts to jump-start negotiations aimed at creating a Palestinian state, including freezing Jewish construction in the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem and releasing Palestinian prisoners.

Unfortunately, the Israelis are not very clever / creative / daring about dealing with Abbas and the Palestinian authority…

Israel should have years ago informally/unilaterally gradually (with in ~90 days) reduce security cooperation with the Palestinian security forces and allow Hamas to take over (physically and politically, as they did in Gaza…) areas A & B in Judea/Samaria

Once the “legitimate” recognized, exclusive representative of the “Palestinian People” becomes irrelevant (PA / Fatah lose power both on the ground and in a political sense) and is replaced by a militant Islamic organisation that is broadly recognized as a terrorist group by the US, EU and other major powers, Israel will have a hell of allot more leeway to deal with Hamas militarily, in a more decisive way

While Abbas /the PA are the “non militant” darlings of the world and thus virtually untouchable, Hamas as a bona fide Jihadi, terror organisation, are almost fare game in comparison (any bleeding heart Muslim lover from the deranged left, would have a much harder time, trying to defend a radical, Antisemitic, oppressive, blood thirsty terror group like Hamas)

In the past Israel has been able to effectively clear the “West bank” from terrorists, arms and other terror supporting infrastructure (Operation “Defensive Shield” 2002)

With Hamas in power in those same territories, nothing should stop Israel from successfully implementing a “Defensive Shield II” operation today…

Once the territories are cleared from active/wanted Hamas/Jihad terrorists, their arms/infrastructure and the PA gone, as a relevant entity, Israel will be in far better position to negotiate a rational solution to this conundrum

I must be reading the wrong news as I always thought that the “Palestinians” were offering ‘DEMANDS’ and never any solutions. If surrender is the only demand that the “Palestinians” want then they will be disappointed. Negotiations require give and take but Arabs and Muslims it is only about how much they can take as they have noting to give other than hate. It is very easy to see when Abbas is lying – he open his mouth and lies come tumbling out.
