Hamas-linked CAIR announced in a press release that it “today announced the renewal of its ‘Share the Quran’ campaign in response to Republican candidate Ben Carson’s false claim that Islam is ‘inconsistent’ with the Constitution.” Great idea! I’m all for the public’s having a better understanding of the Qur’an. People will read the Qur’an and…

This is big international news today — but my colleague Robert Spencer was saying it over a month ago. “Scholars catch up to Spencer, realize ancient Qur’an challenges Islam’s origins,” by Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch, August 31, 2015: “Fragments of the world’s oldest Koran, found in Birmingham last month, may predate the Prophet Muhammad and…

Once again, my colleague Robert Spencer tells truths that the media and political elites won’t tell. His latest book, The Complete Infidel’s Guide to ISIS is out today, and it is must-reading for anyone who is tired of the lies pumped out by the Obama administration and the enemedia. To know the enemy and defeat…

Teen Vogue is just that: a magazine for teenage girls. Articles featured on its front page today include “Justin Bieber and Sam Smith Are Already Listening to Tori Kelly’s New Album, and You Should Be, Too”; “The 35 Coolest Back-to-School Backpacks”; “7 Desserts That Require No Baking At All”; “The Complete Guide to Washing Your…

My colleague Robert Spencer explains what’s at stake: “Je Suis Pamela Geller,” by Robert Spencer, FrontPage Mag, May 8, 2015: I was standing next to Pamela Geller just after our American Freedom Defense Initiative/Jihad Watch Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest ended last Sunday in Garland, Texas when one of our security team ran in…

My colleague Robert Spencer exposes yet another Islamic deceiver posing as a moderate: “Egypt’s Mufti: Jihad terrorists are misunderstanders of Islam and Qur’an,” Robert Spencer, April 10, 2015: Here is the Grand Mufti of Egypt with yet another disappointingly deceptive piece about how jihad terrorists are misunderstanding Islam — a point that everyone seems to…

The articles come almost daily now: Muslim (and non-Muslim) authorities assuring us that what the Islamic State and other jihad terrorists do — mass murders, beheadings, rapes, destruction — has nothing do with Islam, despite the jihadis’ quotations of the Qur’an and screams of “Allahu akbar.” And every day, mainstream outlets such as Newsweek here…

Note from Pamela Geller: Earlier today, Secretary of State John Kerry heralded the Saudi clerics’ “fatwa against terrorism” as if it were some magic wand that would validate Kerry’s absurd remarks on how Islam is a religion of peace. This is Saudi Arabia’s contribution to Obama’s phantom coalition. The Sauds want the infidel to fight…

Boston, London, Paris: The Goal of the “Islamophobia” Hysteria RealizedBy Robert Spencer In the last few weeks, Islamic jihadists have murdered three people and wounded 260 at the Boston Marathon, brutally murdered a British soldier on a London street, and critically wounded a French soldier in a copycat attack on a street in Paris. And…

Thuggery Wins Again by Robert Spencer Maybe in this cowed and cowardly age, the denouement was inevitable: on Wednesday night, the Great Neck Synagogue on Long Island canceled a speech by Pamela Geller that had been scheduled for Sunday. This was after Islamic supremacists, led by one Habeeb Ahmed of the Nassau County Human Rights…

Will the Pope Be A Prophetic Voice?By Robert Spencer  We have seen Pope Francis exemplify Christ’s extreme humility. Will he also imitate Christ and the Biblical prophets in challenging the powerful and rebuking the unjust? It created an international sensation when the new Pope washed a Muslim woman’s feet during Maundy Thursday mass. Numerous Leftists…

The Spiritual Journey of Magdi Allam by Robert Spencer The highest-profile convert to Roman Catholicism in recent memory, Magdi Cristiano Allam, has left the Catholic Church. Allam, who was baptized in the Vatican by Pope Benedict XVI on Easter day 2008, explained that what “more than any other factor drove me away from the Church”…

The Jihad Against Gays By Robert Spencer In response to San Francisco officials’ self-defeating hostility to AFDI’s jihad truth ads, Pamela Geller devised a brilliant new ad campaign for that city, calling attention to Muslim persecution of gays. Theresa Sparks, the transgender head of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, falsely claimed that Geller was…

Why I Am Not A Conservativeby Robert Spencer Many years ago, when I interviewed the great avant-garde saxophonist Charles Gayle, I asked him about bitter criticism he had received for his tendency to preach a pro-life message in the middle of his concerts. “Yeah,” he said with some amusement, “they always call me ‘right-wing.’ Man,…

Nidal Hasan’s courtroom jihadBy Robert Spencer It doesn’t seem to have occurred to anyone that Nidal Malik Hasan (I will not dishonor the U.S. Army by referring to him as “Major Hasan”), the Army psychiatrist who murdered thirteen people at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009 in the name of Islam and jihad, might still…

Why Jews and Christians Must Unite In Defense Against the Global JihadBy Robert Spencer Sunday night in Los Angeles I had the great honor of receiving the Shushan Award for Righteous Gentile from the Creative Zionist Coalition, a noteworthy new group dedicated to the defense of Israel. At a time when Leftist Christians are rushing…

Countering Muslim Disinformation By Robert Spencer According to Islamic supremacist hate groups such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), no one would have any problem with Islam if it weren’t for bigoted non-Muslims who irresponsibly “link Islam to terrorism” – and this link, they claim, gives rise to acts of violence against Muslims….

Who’s An Authority? by Robert Spencer The Roman Catholic diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts invited me last June to speak at their Catholic Men’s Conference this coming March 16; however, under pressure from the Boston Globe and Islamic supremacists in the area, the diocese has canceled my appearance. I am planning to buy an exhibitor’s table…

Debating Islamic supremacistsBy Robert Spencer TNN reported Monday that “a group of scholars who are also members of the powerful All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has invited controversial author Salman Rushdie to debate on Islam and the Prophet’s life. This is a significant change of position from the general Muslim view which has…

Washington Post Publishes Muslim’s Sly Case Against Free SpeechBy Robert Spencer Ahmadi spokesmen like the strutting Qasim Rashid and the execrable Harris Zafar, the author of a recent Washington Post op-ed, carry water for the same Islamic supremacists who would cheerfully slit their throats if they were back in Pakistan, and instead target those who…

The Monstrous Moral Inversion of the “Islamophobia” Industry by Robert Spencer A steady stream of articles appears about the “Islamophobia” industry, a supposedly well-coordinated, well-funded band of bigots, hatemongers and racists who are doing their utmost to disrupt what would otherwise be a peaceful and harmonious welcoming of Muslims into the United States and other…

“Islamophobia”: Causes and Remedies by Robert Spencer Imagine a political analyst in 1940 who studied the low opinion that Americans had of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany, and concluded that the problem was not the genocidal anti-Semitism, the international aggression, or the vile racist ideology, but bad press. Imagine further another analyst who pointed out…

Anwar al-Awlaki on Capitol Hill and the Problem of “Extremists” and “Moderates”By Robert Spencer In 2002, PBS produced a documentary on the life of Muhammad, Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet. I wrote in a National Review article at the time that the documentary presented an “attractively packaged, sanitized version of Islam.” It features Islamic apologist…

Jihad with a Human FaceBy Robert Spencer Pamela Geller has described the new #MyJihad ad campaign from by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as an “insult to our intelligence,” and that it certainly is. In one of the CAIR ads, a hijabbed woman lifts a barbell while explaining, “My Jihad is to stay…

Muslims In France Sue to Stop Free SpeechBy Robert Spencer France 24 reported last week that “two Muslim groups are suing the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo after it published inflammatory cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. In a law suit that will revive the debate between freedom of speech and dangerous provocation, the weekly magazine’s…

Hamas-linked CAIR, UPI whine about fictional “anti-Muslim” media biasBy Robert Spencer UPI last week published one of the most outstanding examples ever of mainstream media denial and obfuscation of the nature and magnitude of the global jihad, and its eagerness to carry water for Islamic supremacists: “Study: News stories aid anti-Muslim groups.” Anti-Muslim fringe groups…

Grover Must GoBy Robert Spencer Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) has become the latest Republican politician to see the writing on the wall and break with anti-tax guru Grover Norquist. America has voted for socialism, and socialism is what it is going to get, and the statesmanlike Saxby is not going to be the one who…

Mona Eltahawy Coulda Been A Contender (Instead of a Bum Which Is What She Is)By Robert Spencer In the classic movie On the Waterfront, the failed boxer Terry Malloy complains in anguish to his brother: “I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.” Those words…

Did “Islamophobia” Beat Romney?by Robert Spencer Since the election the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic supremacists, along with their Leftist allies, have been crowing that the voters rejected “Islamophobia.” They claim that the defeats of Allen West, Joe Walsh, and Adam Hasner, and even of Mitt Romney himself indicate that the…

Can We Survive Four More Years of Obama? By Robert Spencer Can America afford four more years of Barack Obama as President of the United States? In the most literal terms, probably not: his reckless deficit spending can’t be sustained indefinitely, and as he has campaigned on a platform of more free goodies for everyone,…

Is the foe religious or political?By Robert Spencer Recently the Wall Street Journal published an analysis of Obama’s foreign policy failures that, aside from a few nods in the direction of the reigning politically correct fictions about the relationship of the jihad doctrine to Islam itself, was surprisingly clear-sighted: “Feith and Cropsey: A Foreign Policy…

What Would It Take For You To Go On Jihad? By Robert Spencer What would it take for you to commit mass murder in the name of Allah? Would you do it for money? For love? Out of a sense of justice? Out of a sense of religious duty? Absurd as they may seem, these…

New York Review of Books calls for criminalizing of criticism of IslamBy Robert Spencer A piece published last week in the New York Review of Books and written by the formerly respectable Islamic scholar Malise Ruthven is so full of errors, false claims, and inaccuracies that it is surprising that the New York Review of…

Insulting Muhammad by Robert Spencer As the world continues to be roiled by riots blamed on alleged insults to Muhammad, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is attempting to shore up its “moderate” bona fides by claiming that Muhammad didn’t react to insults the way the rioters have. CAIR-St. Louis Executive Director Faizan Syed…

The Fashionable New CowardiceBy Robert Spencer Without anyone really noticing, cowardice has overtaken the American public square, and is now widely retailed as if it were the sensible, proper response to violent Muslim intimidation. Last week Newsday ran an opinion piece about Pamela Geller’s pro-freedom American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) ad in the New York…

The Suicide of the Free Press by Robert Spencer As the Muhammad movie riots continue to roil the world, prominent Muslim leaders in the U.S. and elsewhere are calling for restrictions on the freedom of speech, including the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, and the Muslim Brotherhood – and in…

Max Blumenthal Dhimmis DownBy Robert Spencer Hard-Left pseudo-journalist and propagandist Max Blumenthal has weighed in on the Muhammad movie riots, and predictably enough, he has come down squarely in favor of restrictions on the freedom of speech and adoption of Islamic blasphemy laws in the West. The way he does so is revealing of the…

Obama Will “Make Netanyahu Pay”By Robert Spencer The elimination and then restoration (after, and only after, a national outcry) of language calling Jerusalem the capital of Israel from the Democrat Party platform last week was revealing enough, but a more significant abandonment of Israel came when the Pentagon decided to decrease drastically its participation in…

Accommodating Islam When It Inspired Murder by Robert Spencer Abu Sulayman al-Irlandi is a pious man, and he wants to pray. Al-Irlandi, better known as John Walker Lindh or “the American Taliban,” is currently serving a twenty-year prison sentence in Terre Haute, Indiana, for fighting alongside the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan against American troops….

San Francisco Examiner reluctantly comes out for free speech, smears pro-Israel bus adby Robert Spencer It is good, and rather surprising in today's climate, to see the San Francisco Examiner, in an unsigned editorial, come out for Pamela Geller's free speech rights and say that her pro-Israel ads should be allowed to run. However, the…

“Institutionalized Islamophobia”? Really?By Robert Spencer Arab News, an English-language Saudi publication based in Jeddah, published an opinion piece last week by its editor, Rob L. Wagner: “Institutionalized Islamophobia.” Apparently Wagner, an American convert to Islam who lives in Saudi Arabia and is married to a Saudi woman, expressed views that are widespread among English-speaking Muslim…

Exploiting Mass Murder: Islamic Supremacists Using the SikhsBy Robert Spencer A neo-Nazi last week stormed a Sikh temple and murdered six people in Wisconsin. Ever since then, Muslim organizations in the U.S. such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), abetted by the mainstream media, have been cravenly exploiting this horror for their own…

The Blue Belt in Olympic JudoBy Robert Spencer Now the whole story of the Saudi girl who got Olympic rules changed so she could compete in judo wearing a hijab has finally come out. Wojdan Shaherkani, who forced a rule change in the Olympics so she could compete in judo while wearing a hijab, which…

Islam and Sex SlaveryBy Robert Spencer Muslims from the Twin Cities area ran an interstate sex trafficking ring until they were caught and indicted in late 2010. The dirty secret behind such reports is that this behavior is sanctioned in Islam. The Qur’an forbids Muslim men to have sexual relations with “wedded women, save what…

Imam Rauf Meets His MatchBy Robert Spencer  “You’re a well-intentioned man…and you want good things to happen to Americans.” So said Bill O’Reilly to the former Ground Zero Mosque imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf, last May, during a Rauf met his match in the intrepid Canadian journalist and author Michael Coren. Coren cut through Rauf’s blandly…

Covering Up Islamic Anti-SemitismBy Robert Spencer When the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles canceled Pamela Geller’s scheduled talk on Islamic Jew-hatred on June 24, it handed a major victory to the virulently anti-Semitic Islamic supremacist foes of Israel. Even worse, the mainstream media, as always taking its talking points from those same Islamic supremacist groups,…

Muslims Assault Free Speech in DearbornBy Robert Spencer Recently Muslims took offense to a group of Christians at the Arab-American Festival in Dearborn, Michigan, and began pelting them with rocks and other objects, while shouting “Allahu akbar.” (See the Atlas Shrugs video here.) Dearborn police were more concerned about what the Christians had done to…

Which is worse: Jihad terror or “Islamophobia”? by Robert Spencer  “Which is the more serious problem today: Islamic extremism or anti-Islamic bigotry?” This is the question Reason magazine’s Cathy Young asks in a new piece on “Islamophobia.” Young long ago demonstrated that she had no understanding of the nature or magnitude of the jihad threat,…

National Review Comes Out for Sharia by Robert Spencer Last week National Review published an article by Matthew Schmitz, deputy editor of First Things, claiming that “the anti-sharia movement in this country…endangers our national security by alienating loyal Muslim citizens and assaults religious liberty.” It’s unfortunate, but not surprising, that a publication whose editors Ann…

Ray Bradbury Dead, Censorship On the RiseBy Robert Spencer The man who wrote the novel about censorship, Fahrenheit 451, died last week at age 91. Nowadays the really dangerous book-burners are not those who torch an occasional copy of the Qur’an, a futile symbolic act against an oppressive ideology that is everywhere advancing today. No,…
