Canada’s PM Mark Carney has total contempt for Canada’s Jewish community. Carney will never confront members of the Islamist-Left alliance who are terrorizing Canada’s Jews. That is because his political party needs their votes to win elections.
As antisemitic attacks across Canada continue to soar, Carney is empowering the very Jew-haters driving the violence, handing them influence, legitimacy, and a role in enforcement. It’s the fox guarding the henhouse.
One of the appointments to this council is the Israel-hating Omar Alghabra, a former Liberal MP who has downplayed the radicalism of Hamas and Hezbollah. Alghabra has also praised former PLO leader Yasser Arafat. Another appointment to this council is Avnish Nanda. A lawyer who is representing pro-Palestinian activists in a lawsuit against the University of Alberta (more details here).

In the meantime, attacks on Canada’s Jews continue to skyrocket. Three attacks (here, here) in the last 48 hours. It’s no wonder Canada’s Jews are fleeing in record numbers. The brain drain is happening in full force.
In the last 48 hours, a synagogue in Montreal was targeted in an attempted firebombing, reports of an Ottawa Jewish family who awoke to find swastikas chalked on their driveway, and on Shabbat, windows at a Toronto synagogue were shattered in an act of vandalism.

Canada’s Carney pledges action on antisemitism amid backlash over new anti-hate council members

Prime Minister Mark Carney warned this week that Jewish Canadians are being “brutally targeted,” while also announcing a new anti-racism council that reportedly includes two members with troubling views on the Jewish state.
Following Carney’s speech on antisemitism, critics reacted with anger at the makeup of the council and questioned how a body meant to fight hate and antisemitism includes two members who are reportedly hostile to the concerns of the Jewish community.
