A Watershed Moment

In her perceptive article below Melanie Phillips describes the direct result of European governments being intimidated by their Muslim communities and the European press muzzling themselves when it comes to reporting Muslim misbehavior. What happened both inside and outside of the British Parliament last week is the strongest indication yet that Britannia is well on her way to cultural defeat and surrender. Defeat is one thing, but disgrace is another.

Many governments and international organizations appear to have been duped by the persistent and loud claims of the Arab Palestinians against Israel. These claims are in inverse proportion to the evidence they can produce for them which is to say they are entirely false. Verifiable historical facts and archaeological evidence silently but decisively refute the claims which are made against Israel for no other purpose than to destroy the world’s only Jewish-nation-state and to murder as many Jews as possible. This is not a dispute about real estate it is about fulfilling the injunctions in the Koran, Islam’s title deed, to subjugate and kill the Jews. Grasp that and you will have grasped the very heart of the matter.

The Arab Palestinians are no more a homogeneous people indigenous to the region than the equator is a country. Palestine was a region it was never a country, but within that region lay the ancient and historical homeland of the Jewish people where they lived for over 3,000 years and where Jerusalem was its undivided capital a thousand years before Christ and sixteen hundred years before Muhammed. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in 636 A.D. changes none of this history.

The suggestion that the Arabs who lived in Palestine have been robbed, dispossessed and cheated is a pure fabrication as indicated by Zuheir Mohsen, a Palestinian leader of the Syria controlled “as-Sa’iqa” faction of the P.L.O. between 1971 and 1979. In an interview with the Dutch newspaper TROUW in March of 1977 he said this: “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality, there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism….”

Thus, Zuheir Moshen inadvertently exposed the fundamental dishonesty of the P.L.O. and its revered leader Yasser Arafat, a man who had a predilection for European rent-boys, as a fraud.

Dishonesty and fraudulency are at the core of the so-called Arab Palestinian cause and its Iranian inspired murderers. All the demonstrations and protests taking place in London, across Europe and in the United States have been infected with this viral strain to such an extent that it has deposed the intellect of its participants. This is what caused the horrifically savage attack on Israel on October 7th. last year and it is what caused the genocidal message of, “From the river to the sea” to be beamed onto the iconic facade of Big Ben in London last week.

Left unchecked the ferocious hatreds of Islam will empty the future for us all.

In a supine Britain, Islamists are seizing their opportunity

“From river to sea” projected onto the UK parliament’s Elizabeth Tower

Last Wednesday evening saw a watershed moment in Britain.

Parliamentary rules were torn up and democratic debate scrapped under the pressure of threats to murder British members of parliament in connection with a foreign war, as I commented here.

While the mob in Parliament Square waved a phalanx of Palestinian flags and bayed abuse of Israel, the words “from river to sea” were projected onto parliament’s Elizabeth Tower, or “Big Ben”.

The symbolism was devastating and appalling. The slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is the infamous cry, by those waging Islamic holy war and their western supporters, for the destruction of Israel and the Jews within it. Yet it was being projected onto the structure that symbolises democracy and the nation. No less terrible than using parliament to stage a call for the genocide of the Jews, this was also a gloating statement that the Islamists were now in control of Britain.

It was subsequently reported that Ben Jamal, Director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign who organised Wednesday’s hate-fest outside the Commons, told demonstrators to “ramp up the pressure” on MPs and to demonstrate in such numbers “that they will have to lock the doors of parliament itself”.

On Saturday, the police closed Tower Bridge for an hour as the “ceasefire now” mob blocked traffic and let off flares.

And the police stood back and let this happen — even though they have legal powers to prevent such “disruption to the life of the community”, just as they have powers to prevent demonstrators from screaming “death to the Jews” or “globalise the intifada” as they have done every week since the October 7 Hamas pogrom in Israel.

Criticised for standing by while “from river to sea” was projected onto parliament, the police responded:

This is a chant that has been frequently heard at pro-Palestinian demonstrations or many years and we are aware of the strength of feeling in relation to it. While there are scenarios where chanting or using these words could be unlawful depending on the specific location for context, its use in a wider public protest setting such as [Wednesday] might is not a criminal offence.
