According to Federal Court Records White House UFC Freedom 250 Ringleader Abraham H. Alvarez, a foreign national. During his initial federal court hearing on June 16, 2026, Alvarez consented to a consular notification. This process is a standard federal court requirement strictly used when foreign nationals are arrested, verifying he is a citizen of another country.

His legality is anyone’s guess.

People arrested from at least four states in connection with planned attacks at White House UFC fight

According to ABC News, 23 people were allegedly in Signal chats discussing preoperational plans. Some of those involved in the plot allegedly traveled to Fredericksburg, Virginia, on June 12 or 13, ABC News reported.

The alleged plot involved explosive-laden drones, ABC News reported, which were designed to hit buildings in the area to spur a mass evacuation.

A “second wave” targeting a security checkpoint was then planned, ABC News reported.

ESPN: What began with a concerned mother calling police on her son ended in the thwarting of a terror plot involving drones and snipers aimed at members of U.S. Congress attending Sunday’s UFC event at the White House, the government alleges in a criminal complaint filed against one of the plot’s admitted leaders, an Ohio teen.

Tycen Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio, told federal investigators on June 11 he intended to “jump-start” a revolution in the U.S. with an attack on June 14 that would begin with drone bombings over the north side of the arena. Co-conspirators, the charging documents allege, planned to take up sniper positions overlooking southern evacuation routes and shoot “high value targets” including U.S. politicians the group identified as supporting Israeli interests.

Proper was hospitalized with homicidal ideations, on the evening of June 10, after his mother called police in Danville expressing concerns over his recent purchases of firearms, ammunition and ballistic plates; his affiliation with a Christian extremist group on TikTok; preoccupation with Jeffrey Epstein and government corruption; online posts sympathetic to Adolf Hitler; and his stated intention to conduct “hit and run missions.”

Proper is charged with, among other offenses, attempted murder of an officer or employee of the United States.

Federal criminal complaints indicate authorities arrested at least four others in connection with the plot and as a result of the investigation into Proper: Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez in Nebraska, Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas in California, and Daniel Eskridge in Missouri.

In an interview with law enforcement, Proper described a conspirator using the moniker “Shepherd” as the group’s chief organizer. A criminal complaint alleged that user was Alvarez, and that he used coded terms in encrypted chats to describe priority targets, including President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose attendance at the event had been the subject of online rumors, and Elon Musk. Netanyahu did not attend the event.

Investigators said the group also planned to target congresspeople, including U.S. Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ar.) Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn), Jim Justice (R-W.Va.), Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), and U.S. Reps. Carol Miller (R-W.Va.) and Riley Moore (R-W.Va.).

The FBI learned about the alleged threat four days before the mixed martial arts extravaganza on the White House’s South Lawn, “and thanks to the rapid action of the FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a post on X on Tuesday morning. The Secret Service “worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable,” Director Sean Curran said in a separate statement.

FBI Director Kash Patel made the announcement on social media that law enforcement officials had disrupted “planned attacks” meant to target the UFC cage-fighting show staged at the White House this past weekend, and that multiple people were in custody.

A Department of Justice update issued Tuesday afternoon said that five people had been arrested during the investigation, including Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha.

Authorities noted that they believe Alavarez was the leader of the group behind a plot to orchestrate a mass-casualty event at the White House.

“The conspirators allegedly planned to deploy drones armed with explosives in and around the UFC Freedom 250 event to force an evacuation of the event and then planned to deploy snipers to fire upon ‘high-value targets’ within the fleeing crowd,” the DOJ release stated.

Alvarez was booked on federal charges of conspiracy to commit an offense against the U.S. and conspiracy to commit murder. He appeared in front of a judge via video conference on Tuesday morning.

In their announcement of the arrests, the DOJ said investigators found their way to Alvarez while investigating Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio, who was one of the suspects arrested in the case.

According to court documents, Proper allegedly had been stockpiling weapons and communicating with groups online.

Authorities said Proper was flagged by his parents over concerns about the recent firearms purchases and online communications.

Proper’s parents allegedly said their son had “recently met random people online and had been planning ‘recons’ with these individuals,” documents stated.

Authorities then executed a search warrant at Proper’s home in Ohio, confiscating an iPhone and uncovering online chats with someone called “Shepherd,” a user investigators say was Alvarez.

According to court records, Proper told authorities the two of them connected after Alvarez posted on TikTok about the UFC event happening at the White House. Eventually, they moved the conversation to an encrypted messaging app, where investigators say plans for the attack were coordinated.

Court records stated that Proper said the group would meet in Virginia and use drones during a demonstration to blow up the north side of the UFC arena, then shoot the crowd as they evacuated to the south.

Snipers would focus on high-value targets, like wealthy people and politicians, in order to jumpstart a revolution, the documents stated.

The group’s top targets, per Alvarez, were allegedly President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

“Thank God that our national leaders, including President Trump, are safe, and thank God for the brave men and women of law enforcement everywhere in this country for the work they do to protect the innocent from anarchy and violence,” Ohio Governor Mike DeWine shared following the DOJ’s arrest announcement.

The other suspects facing charges in the case have been identified as Bryan Omar Roa, 24, of Calimesa, Calif.; Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of Pinon Hills, Calif.; and Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, of Kidder, Mo.
