The mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot refused to deploy the National Guard, to help confront the out of control crime in her city. That is because that would have required Lightfoot to work with President Trump. She wouldn’t do that. Instead she has allowed the once iconic city of Chicago to become an open shooting gallery.

ADVERTISEMENTThe Chicago Tribune reported that 4,005 shooting victims occurred in 2020 through December 16, and of those people 744 people were killed.
The Chicago Suns Times reported numbers for the entire weekend showing 36 people were shot, six were killed.
The first fatality of the weekend was at about 3 a.m. Saturday, when a 47-year-old man was chased down on foot and shot in the head.
At 1:20 a.m. A man and woman with gunshot wounds were found dead in a vehicle “in the 3200-block of West 64th Street.”

The final fatality of the weekend was of a 71-year-old woman who was shot and killed while inside a home “in the 10800-block of South Morgan Street.” The shooting happened when “two males” opened fire, hitting the woman numerous times.
