New York Democrat School Board VP Arrested on Child Sex Charges

There is something terribly, horribly wrong with the Democrat party.

The New York State Police announced the arrest of the Cazenovia School Board of Education Vice President for sexual misconduct against children.

On June 18, the state police charged Travis J. Longo, 46, of Cazenovia, with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor offense.

The police said that Longo engaged in a pattern of sexually explicit communications with a child under the age of 12. Specific details about the nature of the communications were not announced.

In 2024, Longo was elected to the Cazenovia School District Board of Education as Vice President. Longo is still a member of the board.

On June 18, 2026, New York State Police charged 46-year-old Travis J. Longo with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, based on a pattern of explicit communications. Longo, elected in 2024 to the Cazenovia Central School District Board of Education, was arraigned and released; police seek tips on possible additional victims. The New York State Police arrested Cazenovia resident Travis Longo on June 18, charging him with four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Authorities have accused him of engaging in a pattern of sexually explicit communications with a child under the age of 12.

On June 18, the New York State Police arrested 46-year-old Cazenovia resident Travis J. Longo — who also goes by Travis Barr — on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

The NYS Police announced the arrest in a June 19 press release, stating that investigators determined that Longo engaged in a pattern of sexually explicit communications with a child under the age of 12.

According to the authorities, he was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child — a Class A Misdemeanor — and transported to Madison County CAP Court for centralized arraignment.

“The charges stem from a law enforcement referral received by the New York State Police Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Oneida,” the press release states. “The arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation (Oneida), the State Police Computer Crime Unit (Troop D), the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit, and the Madison County Child Advocacy Center.”

The NYS Police announcement also says investigators believe there may be additional victims whom Longo contacted. Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYS Police at Troop D Headquarters at 315-366-6000 and reference case number NY2600762245.

At the time of his arrest, Longo was vice president of the Cazenovia Central School District (CCSD) Board of Education. He was elected by voters in the school district to a three-year term on the board in May 2024.

Longo operated H. Grey Supply Co., a specialty coffee shop and boutique retailer, on Albany Street in Cazenovia for five years before moving his business to downtown Syracuse in March 2026.

He is also the founder of Cazenovia Pride, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 2021 to celebrate, support, and advance the well-being, visibility, and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community through education, resource-sharing, advocacy, and events, including an annual Pride festival.
