They mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani is aiding and abetting illegal migrants. How is this not obstruction of justice?

On October 23, 2026, Mayor Mamdani turned a 90-second video into a city-backed playbook for resisting federal immigration enforcement: demand a judicial warrant before opening the door, remain silent during street stops, and ask whether you’re free to leave. He reinforced the message with city hotlines, reminders of the NYPD’s limited enforcement role, and New York’s sanctuary protections. Rep. Brandon Gill and Sen. Mike Lee condemned the video as coaching evasion of federal law.

Brandon Gill: It should be insulting to every American that the mayor of our largest city is a guy who became a citizen less than a decade ago and now spends his time coaching illegal aliens in a foreign language on how they can avoid being lawfully deported.

Zohran Mamdani Instructs Illegal Migrants How to Dodge ICE

New York City’s (NYC) socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani advised illegal aliens on how to dodge U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and instructed them on their rights.

In a video posted to X with English subtitles, Mamdani, speaking in Spanish, explained that ICE agents “cannot legally enter” private spaces unless they have a judicial order, and that illegal migrants have the right to be silent.

“If you encounter ICE, these are your rights,” Mamdani said. “First, ICE cannot legally enter private spaces without a judicial order. These spaces include your home, hospitals, churches, and private areas of your workplace.”
