The Hill: With one week to go before the midterms, President Trump arrived Tuesday afternoon in Texas, taking the stage to stump in Corpus Christi for GOP candidates before making his way to Lubbock to do the same. He’s in the Lone Star State hoping to boost support for GOP Gov. Greg Abbott’s reelection bid and state Attorney General Ken Paxton, who’s locked in a close Senate race with his Democratic opponent, James Talarico. The Democrat is scheduled to have a dueling rally in Lubbock on Tuesday night. The trip is the latest in Trump’s midterm blitz that has included travel most days as Republicans work to maintain their congressional majorities (The Hill). In the Senate contest, the latest poll from Rasmussen has the race between Paxton and Talarico in a dead heat—45 to 45 (RCP). Texas conservatives are cautious, but they cannot see Talarico winning statewide in the Lone Star state.

n the last two weeks leading up to the 2026 midterm elections, Donald Trump has been on a high-intensity campaign blitz across the country. His travel schedule has focused heavily on boosting Republican candidates in a mix of traditional red strongholds, battleground swing states, and unexpected blue states:

• Georgia: Spoke at events addressing economic issues and rising costs.

• South Carolina: Rallied voters on behalf of Republican Senator Darline Graham.
• Other States Visited: His broad midterm travel sweep over this two-week window has also included stops in New York, North Carolina, Montana, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida
