Trump Rewards Erdogan for Not Helping During War and Arming Hamas

Insanity.

President Trump casually mentioned yesterday that he had to convince Recep Erdogan to stay out of the Iran war, given his inclination to help Iran defeat Israel. In return, he is approving the sale of sophisticated jet engines and considering selling F-35s as well.

Times of Israel: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who he suggested could have entered the war on the side of Iran because he doesn’t like Israel. “He was a prime candidate to go into the war with Iran — maybe on the Iran side, because he’s not a big fan of Israel,” Trump claimed, even though Turkey gave no indication that it was preparing to enter the US-Israel war against Iran and even came under Iranian fire at one point. “I asked him to stay out. He stayed out,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. (Times of Israel.)

Turkey’s President Erdogan: “Allah commands us to be violent to the kuffar (non-Muslims)”

Jerusalem Post: US Vice President JD Vance indicated on Wednesday that a review was underway to see how the United States could sell Turkey F-35 fighter jets, given Ankara’s 2019 acquisition of Russian S-400 missile defense systems. “Pete and the entire team are reviewing this right now, because there are certain things that we have to certify have happened…in order to comply with American law. The president has asked us to do that,” Vance told reporters. US President Donald Trump’s administration is also planning to push ahead with the sale of dozens of jet engines to Turkey worth hundreds of millions of dollars despite objections from some members of the US Congress, four sources familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, an important gesture to Ankara ahead of a NATO summit there next month. Trump will face opposition in Congress over any F-35 sale to Turkey, as current law prohibits the sale to Turkey over its purchase of Russian air defense systems.

Erdogan has said that Western civilization was “built on blood, tears, massacres, and exploitation,” but as The History of Jihad illustrates in abundance, that is actually true of Islamic civilization, which he terms “human-centered and divinely inspired.” In fact, for centuries, Europeans lived in constant fear of jihad warriors who had distinguished themselves for nothing more than their bloodlust. The existential threat that they posed to Europe was so well known that it was taken for granted everywhere.

Trump Signals Turkey Could Rejoin F-35 Programme Ahead of NATO Summit

Amil Imani: The Turkish Republic no longer functions as a sovereign state; it operates as a family-run arms bazaar. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has forged a throne out of shrapnel and drone circuitry, turning the machinery of war into a private ATM for his inner circle. Erdoğan has transformed Turkey from a mere NATO outpost into a global hub for illicit and gray-market arms. This is no longer a matter of national defense. This is a predatory mechanism designed to fuel conflicts, bypass international law, and cement his own family’s iron grip on power.
