Iran just struck an oil tanker in the Hormuz Strait off the coast of Oman. Today’s incident occurred after Iran attacked a cargo ship on Thursday.

Iran has been attacking vessels using the new route near the coast of Oman which was opened by Oman 48 hours ago.

A tanker was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, according to Britain’s maritime security agency.

The United States and Iran each launched strikes after that attack.

STRAIT OF HORMUZ ERUPTS — another tanker reportedly struck by an unidentified projectile as Iran and the U.S. trade accusations after fresh strikes.

BAHRAIN ACCUSES IRAN — Bahrain condemns overnight drone attacks on its territory, calling it a serious escalation near the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

US STRIKES IRANIAN TARGETS — CENTCOM says missile/drone storage and coastal radar sites were hit after attacks on commercial shipping.
