Jimmy Carter: A Moral Atrocity

25

President Carter was perhaps the worst POTUS of the 20th Century. And in his post-presidential life he engaged in a diplomatic assault against Israel. Carter’s treatment of Israel after he left office was abominable, and he shamefully appeased one of the most genocidal, barbaric, corrupt, and anti-Semitic terrorist organizations on the planet; the PLO (the Palestinian Authority). Below are some of the receipts of Carter’s anti-Israel record.

    • Carter befriended the father of global terrorism and mass murderer of Israelis Yasser Arafat
    • Carter would often accuse Israel of human rights violations, while saying little to nothing about Palestinian terrorism and incitement against Israel
    • Carter wrote a bias, vicious and inaccurate anti-Israel screed called Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid
    • Carter would routinely blame Israel for it’s perpetual conflict with the Palestinians, despite Israel’s generous ‘land for peace’ offers in 2000 and 2008.
    • Carter called for recognizing the genocidal terrorist group Hamas, and would often meet with Hamas (here, here) officials
    • Carter openly supported the libelous Goldstone Report against Israel, that accused Israel of war crimes in it’s defensive war against Hamas in 2008-2009
    • Carter openly denounced anti-BDS legislation
    • Carter praised the genocidal Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA)
    • Carter encouraged fellow Israel-hater President Obama to recognize a Palestinian state before leaving office
    • Carter said nothing about Christians being cleansed in areas controlled by the Palestinians
    • Carter said nothing about Mahmoud Abbas’ anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial

Jimmy Carter: A Jewish tragedy – opinion

Not a Cyrus nor a Truman, in the end, Jimmy Carter, but a Nebuchadnezzar who befriended Haman.

Among many other time-tested attributes, the Jewish people have a long memory. Aid us in the manner of the ancient Persian King Cyrus, and we will remember you forever fondly. Cross us as Seleucid King Antiochus IV did, and we will curse you every Hanukkah.

Our talent for remembering is particularly salient today after the death, at age of 100, of former president Jimmy Carter.

While the rest of the world is now hailing him as a statesman who, after his failed one-term presidency, rose to become an unstinting peacemaker, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, and a paragon of now non-existent virtues, many Jews will have a far more ambivalent reaction.
