SICKENING: Romney Remarks After Reading Mueller’s Report

85

President Trump is being viciously attacked by the Democrats and the mainstream media over the phony “Russia collusion” investigation. Unfortunately, Senator Mitt Romney has chosen to become a useful idiot for the Left. Instead of supporting President Trump, Romney has decided to betray President Trump by attacking him over the result of the largely bias Mueller Report.

When has Romney ever said that he was “sickened” at President Obama and his henchman for trying to sabotage Trump’s presidential campaign, or for trying to orchestrate a political coup against Trump after he was elected president? The answer is likely never, at least publicly.

It is clear that Romney has not gotten over his defeat by President Obama in 2012, and is bitterly jealous of Trump for accomplishing what he couldn’t: winning a presidential election. If Romney had attacked Obama the way he has attacked Trump, the result may have been different in 2012. However, Romney did not attack Obama aggressively or effectively. Romney was a weak and uninspiring candidate. Furthermore, his performance in the third presidential debate in 2012 was one of the worst ever seen by a presidential candidate.

Story continues below advertisement

Senator Romney should be condemned by the Republican Party’s leaders for his idiotic public betrayal of President Trump.

“Romney Says He’s ‘Sickened’ by Trump After Reading Mueller’s Report,” by Steven Denis, Bloomberg, April 19, 2019:

Senator Mitt Romney said Friday he was “sickened” by President Donald Trump’s dishonesty as described in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report and “appalled” that people working for Trump’s campaign welcomed help from Russia.

“I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the President,” Romney said in a statement. “I am also appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia — including information that had been illegally obtained; that none of them acted to inform American law enforcement; and that the campaign chairman was actively promoting Russian interests in Ukraine.”

Romney of Utah called reading Mueller’s report “a sobering revelation of how far we have strayed from the aspirations and principles of the founders.” It was the most critical statement yet from a Republican senator on what Trump on Friday called “the Crazy Mueller Report.”

Romney is one of the biggest mistakes ever committed by Utah Republicans. He says “he was “sickened” by President Donald Trump’s dishonesty as described in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report and “appalled” that people working for Trump’s campaign welcomed help from Russia.” He, either has never read the Mueller Report or is lying through his teeth because nothing in the report supports anything like that. My take is that he is a lying Left winger and taking all his cues from CNN. He is the absolutely disgusting slime that paved the way for Obama’s second term.

According to Mueller, your claim is false: the Trump campaign did welcome the dirt on Hillary (aka opposition research) from Russia. Not wonderful, but also not surprising From a recent CNN article (the first paragraph is directly from the Mueller report):

Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

What Mueller found then is that although one party (the Russians) sought to influence the election for Trump because they thought he would be better for their interests and the other party (the Trump campaign) believed that any and all dirt the Russians gave them on Hillary Clinton would increase Trump’s chances of winning, it didn’t amount to conspiracy or
coordination (“collusion” is not a legal term) because the two sides were operating independently

No conspiracy, not even “collusion”. I think the worst charge that can be reasonably levelled against Trump is obstruction of justice. The attempt at a “cover up” of a non-crime was worse than the actual event. That, BTW, lead to Nixon’s downfall. I also suspect that others- Obama appointees and the Clintonistas have far more grievous charges to answer for.

Shove it Commie, There is NOTHING in that witch hunt Nothing Burger report.

What a stupid comment. Informed, reasoned discourse clearly is beyond your ken. Big on insults and name calling, short on insight.

Simply because Mueller found nothing he could refer for prosecution does not mean that the investigation was worthless, although, given my comment below, I even agree there was an element of a “witch hunt” to it.

Now if Barr would only direct a similarly intense investigation over every step team Obama made …. I suspect that would make for some very interesting reading.

“I think the worst charge that can be reasonably levelled against Trump is obstruction of justice.” Really? For what? Trump didn’t collude, he didn’t obstruct. Stop pontificating as though you are a leading authority. He’s been cleared. End of story.

So you say with, as is your habit, nothing to back up your claim. It is manifestly not what Mueller said. He simply indicated there he did not have sufficient evidence to claim there was obstruction, athough he went out of his way to pave the way for Congress to in investigate that issue. I suppose to a trite mind like yours, one incapable of appreciating nuance, those two states are equivalent: they are not.

Once again, little one, your inability to comprehend the written word is glaringly obvious. I listed three religions. In what way, shape, or form, was Mormonism referenced as belonging to the Religion of Atheism. Perhaps, oh ye with the intellect of an aphid and an exceedingly low level of education, could ask your imaginary “Korean wife” to recommend a competent TOEFL instructor. You, little one, are SO much fun to laugh AT, while you continue to HUMILIATE yourself.

Liatris Spicata
Liatris Spicata

Your reference to the “Religion of Atheism” was totally unspecified, and therefore was ambiguous. If you meant to refer to atheists, well, referring to atheism as a religion is an oxymoron, moron.

Anybody can easily verify your pathetic but hateful inability at deduction: there is no way you would know that my Korean wife is “imaginary”. What an a$$ you are. (Hint to those unfamiliar with the context: Because this moron commented to me in transliterated Korean, and I failed to respond, he somehow concludes that my claim to have married a Korean immigrant is spurious. His claim is false, and his reasoning grossly flawed).

Achmed Mohandjob
Achmed Mohandjob

You, little guttersnipe of a blithering idiot, really should ask your imaginary “Korean wife” for a competent TOEFL instructor. There were three religions referenced: mohammedanism, The Religion of Atheism, and mormonism. Atheism IS a religion, replete with evangelists and virulent fanatics. Therefore, referring to it as a religion is NOT an oxymoron, little one. Rather, it is calling it what it is.
Anyone that has followed your “comments” KNOWS that there is not ONE Hanguk saram that would be stupid enough to even have conversation with you, much less marry you.
My reasoning is solid as a rock, little one. You have EARNED your name of “liar spittoon”. A well deserved moniker for one of the stupidest cretins that I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. Now, be a good little blithering idiot and scuttle under your rock, as opposed to HUMILIATING yourself.
The transliterated Hanguk mal was in keeping with well accepted Romanization of Hangul. That stops some little liar from using an online translation program.
The claim of you being a LYING blithering idiot is TRUE. The claim of you having an imaginary “Korean” wife is TRUE. NO one would be stupid enough to believe your LIES, little one.

Liatris Spicata
Liatris Spicata

Atheism IS a religion, replete with evangelists and virulent fanatics.

From Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary:

atheism: a disbelief in the existence of deity

religion: the service or worship of God or the supernatural

To anyone other than an utter idiot, atheism clearly is not a religion. It is the absence of religious belief. But of course, a goon like Achmed knows better. Sheesh!

Achmed Mohandjob
Achmed Mohandjob

Did your imaginary “Korean wife” show you that? The Religion of Atheism has evangelists. The internet is filled with such. Moreover, their beliefs are fanatical, second only to mohammedans.
.
“a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance”
“a particular system of faith and worship”
The Religion of Atheism fits both of those definitions, exceedingly well.
Poor little LIAR spittoon .. she HUMILIATES herself, once again.
But, a guttersnipe of a blithering idiot such as our poor little LIAR spittoon, does NOT know better. Yet, you have to admit, she is SO much fun to laugh AT. She and her only “friend”, little marc. Hours of laughter, provided by their inane stupidity.

I’d like to quote a couple of paragraphs from a recent WSJ editorial by Victoria Toensing, a former chief counsel for the Senate Intelligence Committee and deputy assistant AG during the Reagan administration.

Justice Department regulations authorize appointment of a special counsel when the attorney general “determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted.” Instead, Deputy
Attorney General Rod Rosenstein—who was exercising this authority by virtue of then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s recusal—disregarded the criminal-conduct requirement and authorized a broad and vague counterintelligence probe, directing the special counsel to investigate “any links” between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. Initiating a special-counsel probe without specifying a crime was unprecedented. It gave Mr. Mueller and his team a blank check, allowing them to interrogate anyone connected to anything Russian or even peripherally associated with Mr. Trump or the Trump campaign—innocent as their conduct may have been.

In a regular criminal investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation would have had no business questioning George Papadopoulos about meeting with Russians, which is not a crime. Nor would agents have had any reason to interrogate national security adviser Mike Flynn about his transition-team conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Anyone who has followed my comments here knows I am troubled by a number of things Trump has said and done. Nevertheless, a reasonable interpretation of the above is that the Mueller investigation was a “witch hunt”.

Romney is going to join the impeach Trump crowd.

Once the Democrats get a Republican on board, perhaps just Romney, then they will be able to call impeachment bipartisan and will be able to proceed.

That might not be enough to remove him from office, but that’s not the plan.

They want to tie up President Trump and Republican supporters in impeachment so that he can’t do anything as far as judicial nominees, cutting government regulations, or moving forward on any health related legislation, such as getting rid of Obamacare, and perhaps especially, making any action on border security impossible.

They will make it actually impossible to maintain border security so that illegal immigrants continue to pour into the country.

If they can make the Trump presidency completely ineffective, then they can run a campaign against Trump headlined as an ineffectual presidency and take over the government. Romney appears to be entirely complicit with this plan an will be the center of media attention as the primary opponent against Trump, which would set him up as a future Republican presidential candidate.
