A pilot reportedly barred from flying over Islamic extremist views ended up in the cockpit of an Israel-bound passenger jet in an attempted terrorist act. Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami stabbed Captain Smit Machchhar with a cockpit crash axe and tried to seize control of Flydubai Flight FZ1073 before passengers intervened. He was not working alone.
The allegations surrounding Flydubai Flight FZ1073 point to a potential catastrophe enabled by failures that demand answers. According to the account provided, Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami had been suspended by Oman Air over extremist material, yet Flydubai hired him despite warnings about his views. That account further alleges repeated al-Qaeda links, radicalization during visits to Syria, and possible inside assistance, with 14 UAE officials suspected of involvement—serious accusations that, if established, would turn a devastating security failure into a conspiracy. A passenger’s reported recollection that an attendant held the cockpit door closed and that crew members wanted the attacker untied adds questions investigators must resolve. UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi has now described the attack as an attempted terrorist act. Against that finding, the language of a mere “scuffle” or “spat” is grotesquely inadequate. Passengers deserve a full accounting: who knew about the pilot’s background, who cleared him to fly, whether anyone helped him, and why an individual reportedly flagged for extremism was entrusted with an Israel-bound aircraft.
Big revelation that the world should know about the hijacking attempt of the FlyDubai plane.
The terrorist pilot, Mohammed Hamam Al-Hammami, was not planning merely to crash the Israel-bound FlyDubai flight and kill 180 people, the majority of whom were Jews.

14 UAE officials are now under serious suspicion of being the masterminds behind the failed hijacking attempt of Flydubai Flight FZ1073.
The Omani suicidal pilot, Hamam Alhamami, was suspended by Oman Air in 2024 for frequently visiting radical Islamic websites.
He then moved to Dubai that same year.
Flydubai hired him as a pilot.
Oman Air warned Flydubai about the pilot’s extremist views.
But Flydubai ignored the warnings.
Even when the suicidal pilot was a trainee, he was found with extremist material.
He was treated as a security risk.
He was linked to Al-Qaeda on 7 different occasions.
He developed his extremist views during training camps in Syria.
His colleagues described him as a religious extremist who refused to shake hands with women.
He was also found guilty of promoting Istishhad.
Which is religiously framed suicide attacks.
Massive suspicions are now growing over why the UAE allowed him to fly Flight FZ1073.
This now appears to have been a deliberate attempt by certain individuals to carry out a 9/11 style attack against the 174 passengers on board.
Mossad and Shin Bet want the pilot to be handed over to Israel.
But the UAE is refusing.
Saudi Arabia did not even finish their initial inquiry.
But because of external pressure, the pilot was transferred to the UAE.
A prohibited knife also somehow got past airport security with inside support.
This hijacking was most likely planned months in advance.
The incident is now being treated as an inside job.

The co-pilot who attempted crash an Israel-bound flight has been revealed as the UK-educated Islamist and Omani national Hamam Al Hammam.
He had completed a 3-year distance-learning course at the Buckinghamshire New University and graduated with a degree in aviation management.
He also studied engineering at a university in Australia.
The UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi has now stated that the co-pilot had “attempted to carry out a terrorist act.”
Western mainstream media such as the BBC and CNN have been describing what happened as “a scuffle” or “spat between pilots” even though it was clear from the start that it was highly likely that it was Islamist extremism behind an Omani co-pilot stabbing an Indian pilot 10 000 feet in the air.
In all the countries involved, the UAE, India, Saudi Arabia and Israel, the media quickly drew the conclusion that it was an Islamist terror attack.
It was only the self-hating Western media which refused to see the obvious. That says a lot about our media elite and the lengths it will go to in order to protect mass-immigration, multiculturalism and Islamist extremism.

BY: NY Post, October 3, 2026:
The flydubai co-pilot accused of stabbing the captain and trying to hijack an Israel-bound flight was identified as Hamam al-Hammami – who was previously banned from flying by Oman over fears he became radicalized, sources said. The aviator, who was arrested after the frightening mid-air attack Wednesday, used to work for Oman Air, but was let go when radical ideology was found on his cell phone, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Despite the ban, the Omani national was still hired by the Dubai-based airline, flying the sensitive route connecting the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
It was not immediately clear if Oman shared concerns about the pilot’s radicalization with other countries or airlines, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the pilot’s name.
During training for Oman’s national airline, al-Hammami was reportedly transferred to another role within the company over concerns he held radical views, CNN reported, citing a regional diplomatic source.
The flydubai suspect was born in the United Arab Emirates, where he has spent several years of his life, to an Omani father and Syrian mother, the source told CNN.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday that “the attacker underwent Islamist radicalization,” and that “he intended to crash the plane with all its passengers on board.”
“We are now investigating whether he was sent, and whoever sent him will pay a very heavy price,” Netanyahu said in the statement.
The captain, Smit Machchhar, staved off his attacker, allowing heroic passengers and off-duty pilots to leap into action and gain control of the out-of-control flight.
Wednesday’s mid-air attack represented a significant security failure, according to aviation-security analysts.
Although a screening error might have allowed the weapon allegedly used by al-Hammami onto the aircraft, analysts told The Journal that he should have been detected and caught long before reaching the airport.
The co-pilot, whom Israel’s defense minister called “a jihadist terrorist attack” Wednesday, had worked for flydubai for less than a year.
All pilots working for the Dubai-based airline undergo security screening before flying and medical checks at least once a year, a former crewmember and current Emirates pilot told the publication.
First officers graduating to captain status must undergo in-house psychology checks but it is unknown if the Omani national underwent a similar check, The Journal reported.
Israel and the UAE are known to have high security protocols at the airports, with Israeli airlines flying into Dubai following stricter security measures than other countries flying the same route, according to The Journal.
Israel has long called on Dubai airport officials to tighten security for flights bound for Tel Aviv, a country official said.
