Introducing CAIR-Linked, Mamdani-Linked Queens Assembly Candidate Aber Kawas

22

Aber Kawas is a Democratic Socialist, a fervent admirer of Zohran Mamdani, and a candidate for the Queens Assembly. Mamdani has just endorsed her candidacy — the first such endorsement of his administration. He’s a great supporter of this creature, about whom you can find out more here.

Federal holidays are no cause for celebration, according to a far-left Queens Assembly candidate backed by NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.

“Whether it is July 4th, Thanksgiving, Veterans, Columbus or now Labor Day, we enjoy days off that are supposed to be victories for people, when they truly represent the silencing & destruction of our movements,” Aber Kawas, a longtime Palestinian-American activist, wrote in an online journal posted on Sept. 7, 2015 — Labor Day.

Labor Day celebrates the working man. How does that accord with Kawas’ claim that that holiday, among others, “represents the silencing and destruction of our movement,” when Labor Day is there to remind us to honor the working men in our society, whom Democratic Socialists ought to support? How does Presidents’ Day, the day honoring Washington and Lincoln (and all the rest of them) “represent the silencing and destruction of our movements”? What about July 4th — Kawas refuses to celebrate the day on which our independence from Great Britain was obtained. Strange that she won’t honor a day the celebrates an “anti-colonial” victory. No, she’s against all these holidays because they have been created by Infidels; they have nothing to do with Islam, and Muslims must not recognize, much less celebrate, any Infidel holidays. They are not even allowed to wish Christians a “Merry Christmas.” That would a betrayal of Islam.

“Today I do not celebrate a day off, I only recommit myself to a global movement that fights against the death, displacement, and exploitation of people for capital.

She’s against “death, displacement, and exploitation of people.” Would that include, do you think, the hundreds of thousands of Sudanese blacks who have been enslaved or murdered by Muslim Arabs right now, in what is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world? Would it include the savage exploitation of foreign workers, from India, Thailand, the Philippines, and other nations, by employers in Saudi Arabia? What about the hundreds of thousands of black African slaves who are right now being kept by Arab masters in Mauritania, Mali, and Niger? You can be sure that Aber Kawas will have nothing to say about the “death, displacement, and exploitation of people” in any of these countries.

“For this movement, a day off is not a victory. A day off means nothing, because liberation means everything,” added Kawas, who like Mamdani, is a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America….

I have no idea what she is attempting to express here. Maybe you can parse her sentences.

How deep Aber Kawas’s hatred for America must run if she cannot stand to observe any of our national holidays, that include those that recognize the pilgrims’ gratitude for overcoming their early travails with help from Native Americans at Thanksgiving; that recognize Americans who fought to maintain our freedom on Veteran’s Day, that celebrates the lives of our two greatest presidents, Washington, who led the Continental army that brought American independence, and Lincoln, who kept the Republic from disintegrating. None of this matters to Kawas. These are the holidays of Infidels; Infidels are “the most vile of created beings”; why should she pay any attention to what they think should be celebrated?

Kawas is a former intern for the Council on American-Islamic Relations who has remained affiliated with the controversial Muslim charity through her activism for more than a decade.

She recently came under fire for incendiary comments about 9/11, which resurfaced on X last month after news of Mamdani’s reported support for her campaign came to light.

“The system of capitalism and racism and white supremacy et cetera — and Islamophobia — have all been used, you know, to colonize lands, to take resources from other people, and so this is a long trajectory and we are just seeing the manifestations of that continuation … with 9/11,” she said in an unearthed video segment posted by Australian political activist Drew Pavlou.

“Islamophobia” has “been used to colonize lands”? What can she be thinking? Or what has she been drinking? She is apparently unaware that the most successful colonizers in history have been the Muslim Arabs, who swept out of Arabia beginning in the second half of the seventh century, conquered, and then colonized, many lands and many peoples, from Morocco to Persia and beyond. The system of capitalism she so deplores has raised much of the world out of poverty. And as for “racism,” the greatest anti-black racism in the world today is that practiced by the Arabs who continue to enslave blacks in Mauritania, Mali, Niger, and Sudan. Kawas appears to be completely unaware of this.

“The idea we have to apologize for like a terror attack that like a couple of people did and then there is no apology or reparations for genocides and for slavery, et cetera — is something I find reprehensible,” she added.

Yes, how “reprehensible” are those “racists” and “Islamophobes” who think that Muslims should apologize for “like a terror attack” that “like a couple of people did,” but don’t offer apologies or reparations “for genocides and for slavery, et cetera.” She talks like a twit, but her point is this: “we Muslims don’t need to apologize for “a terror attack” — she puts it in the singular when there have been more than 50,000 terror attacks by Muslims worldwide since 9/11.

Aber Kawas will have Mamdani’s enthusiastic support for her candidacy. And if she loses her race to become a member of the Queens Assembly — her opponent is Brian Romero, a fellow-traveller on the left — Mamdani will give Kawas a well-paid position in his administration, that has already, and most scandalously, become a jobs program for New York Muslims. He’s a fixer and propagandist and employer for Islam and its Believers, that smiling Mamdani, as corrupt in his way as any Tammany Hall boss.
