AOC um Self Destructs um in Munich

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., sparked social media backlash Friday after appearing to struggle with a reporter’s question about whether the United States should commit troops to defend Taiwan against a potential Chinese invasion.

While speaking during a town hall at the Munich Security Conference Friday, Ocasio-Cortez was asked, “Would and should the U.S. actually commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move?”

“Um, you know, I think that this is such a, you know, I think that this is a um — this is, of course, a, um, very long-standing, um, policy of the United States,” she responded.

In addition to not being able to answer a basic foreign policy question on Taiwan-China coherently, AOC repeated the Israel committed genocide lie at the recent Munich Security Conference. It will be a major mistake to dismiss AOC. AOC intends to one day run for POTUS. Perhaps as early as 2028. The next time a flawed Republican wins the Republican nomination, it could very well mean that a Marxist buffoon like AOC will be elected POTUS. Then the country and the West are F****D!

Her ideas are not ready for prime time, but she is also uniquely incapable of expressing them. The question she received: “Would, and should the U.S. actually commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move?” And the eloquent answer from the rising star on the left: I think that this is, of course, a very longstanding policy of the United States. And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point. And we want to make sure that we are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation—and for that question to even arise (Breitbart).

Democrats have gone from a senile old-school pol to an incoherent backbencher, and now … this. Yikes. It’s not like Taiwan is some esoteric part of US foreign policy. Remember when the media used to sandbag Republican presidential hopefuls by demanding the name of the head of state of an obscure state? Good times, good times (Hot Air).
