Obama’s Hatchet Man John Brennan Referred to DoJ for Criminal Prosecution

Former CIA Director John Brennan is the person responsible for the entire Mueller investigation.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has referred former CIA Director John Brennan to Attorney General Pam Bondi for criminal prosecution, alleging he lied to Congress in 2023 about his involvement in the 2016 Russia investigation, particularly regarding the Steele dossier and intelligence handling. The referral relies on declassified documents from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which indicate Obama-era officials manufactured intelligence to target President-elect Donald Trump without evidence of Russian campaign aid. Democrats criticize the move as partisan, while conservatives view it as essential accountability in the ongoing scrutiny of the Russia probe.

“We write to refer significant evidence that former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Brennan knowingly made false statements during his transcribed interview before the Committee on the Judiciary on May 11, 2023.’ While testifying, Brennan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the CIA.”

On a side note Brennan called jihad a “legitimate tenet of Islam,” arguing that the term “jihadists” should not be used to describe America’s enemies. During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of “political, economic and social forces,” but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in “religious terms.”

Also Brennan was connected with the tampering with Obama’s passport. He led the investigation into the breach of Obama’s passport records – the mysterious passport Obama traveled to Pakistan on in 1981.

The State Department launched an investigation into allegations of improper computer access to Obama’s passport records. The investigation was focusing on one employee – a contract worker with a company headed by an adviser to Obama’s presidential campaign (see details here). We still don’t have any answers.

You will also recall that the key witness in the presidential passport-tampering case was murdered. Shot in the head, in his car, in front of his church.

This guy is bad news.

WASHINGTON – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on Tuesday asked the Department of Justice to criminally prosecute ex-Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan, claiming he lied to Congress about the Steele dossier’s role in a 2017 intelligence assessment on Russian election interference.

Jordan, a Republican from Ohio’s Champaign County, said Brennan’s testimony to his committee in a 2023 interview was “willfully and intentionally false” and contradicted by both CIA records and findings from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

“Making false statements before Congress is a crime that undermines the integrity of the Committee’s constitutional duty to conduct oversight,” Jordan wrote in a letter to Attorney General Pamela Bondi. He urged the Justice Department to investigate whether Brennan violated 18 U.S.C. § 1001, which prohibits knowingly making materially false statements in congressional investigations. Violating that law is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and significant fines.

Brennan, who led the CIA from 2013 to 2017 under President Barack Obama, has been a frequent and vocal critic of former President Trump and the Republican Party. He has not responded publicly to the referral as of Tuesday afternoon.

At the center of the referral is Brennan’s May 11, 2023, transcribed interview with the Judiciary Committee, during which he asserted the CIA was “not involved at all” with the Steele dossier — a collection of opposition research memos compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele that alleged ties between Donald Trump and the Russian government. Its findings were subsequently discredited.

Newly declassified documents show that a CIA officer helped draft a summary of the Steele dossier for the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), which was published in January 2017. The ICA report produced by the CIA, FBI and NSA concluded that Russia “developed a clear preference” for Donald Trump in the 2016 election and interfered in that election to help him win — a finding that Jordan and others now argue was based in part on flawed intelligence. The report was presented to both President Obama and President-elect Trump and became a key document in the early stages of the Russia investigation.

In that 2023 interview, Brennan also claimed, “The CIA was very much opposed to having any reference or inclusion of the Steele dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment.”
