Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson is warning that the city’s finances are “at the point of no return” unless he gets massive tax hikes to replace dwindling revenue as Chicagoans flee his crime-riddled, corrupt city.

Another iconic American city destroyed by the Left. Under the radical and corrupt Leftist Mayor Brandon Johnson, Chicago is facing a disastrous $1.1 billion budget deficit in 2026. So naturally, Johnson wants to tax corporations to to cover the shortfall caused by his overt incompetence. Apparently no one has told Mayor Johnson that when you penalize those who create the wealth for the city they will pack up and leave. Thereby eliminating the tax revenue required to finance essential services, infrastructure, law enforcement, etc.
Progressive politicians such as Brandon Johnson, Zohran Mamdani, Muriel Bowser, and many others represent a profound threat to the stability of the United States.

Chicago’s self-professed “progressive” Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson is warning that the city’s finances are “at the point of no return” unless he gets massive tax hikes to replace dwindling revenue.

Johnson told his constituents that the “systems that people rely on” are “woefully underfunded” and he wants higher taxes, adding, “everyone knows that. Everyone knows what, you know, my commitment is to progressive revenue. I can’t do this by myself”
Chicago is facing a disastrous $1.1 billion budget deficit for 2026 and Johnson insists that he needs more “progressive” revenue options to fill the shortfall, according to CBS News.
