All decent people should be incredibly proud of Yuval Raphael. Yuval Raphael is a survivor of the Hamas attack on October 7th. But that did not stop her from competing in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Despite the despicable attempts by pro-Hamas protestors to intimidate Raphael, she gave a brilliant and courageous performance. A performance that epitomizes the resilience and indomitable spirit of the Israeli people. Mazal Tov, Yuval Raphael.
Yuval, we are so proud of you tonight!!!
This is resilience. This is hope. This is Israel 💙🇮🇱

120 years apart. Theodor Herzl imagined a Jewish future on this bridge in Basel.
Yuval Raphael stood in the same place—after surviving Oct 7—to sing for Israel at #Eurovision2025 — finishing #1 in global support, #2 overall.

🔴 BREAKING:
While Spanish TV broke Eurovision rules to call for "justice for Palestine", the Spanish public gave Israel more points than anyone else.

Israel’s Yuval Raphael’s places second in Eurovision final, but for Israelis, she is number one
It was an exciting night, as we got to witness a star – Raphael – being born.
By Jerusalem Post, May 17th, 2025
Yuval Raphael, Israel’s contestant, finished in second place at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland on Thursday night.
It was a triumph for Israel, in a year when there were countless calls to have Israel banned, as Israel won the audience vote, with 297 points. The winner was JJ of Austria with the ethereal ballad, “Wasted Love.”
ADVERTISEMENTEven among the Eurovision audience, the boos of those who felt Israel should not take part in any competition were drowned out by the cheers and the applause.
