The Last Jew Standing in the UK Wins His Case for the Crime of Liking Pamela Geller Posts

This is a small bit of good news, which is unusual today shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain, but it only represents small victory against the ongoing rush of madness. The fact that this battle even had to be fought is an indication of the terrible decline of modern Britain, and its imminent demise as a free society.

Gary Mond is a London-based individual rights activist who is, among other things, the chairman of the National Jewish Assembly. He was formerly, for many years, a trustee of the Jewish National Fund in the UK. Mond has just succeeded in getting an attempt by the UK’s Charity Commission to disqualify him from being a charity trustee overturned. The Charity Commission had targeted Mond for offences including the fact that, back in 2017, he liked two of Pamela Geller’s Facebook posts.

Yes, it has come to this. Not only has the British government imposed a two-tier justice system, turning a blind eye to jihad and Muslim rape gang activity while persecuting native Britons for daring to oppose them, but now even innocuously liking Facebook posts can get you in hot water with the Thought Police. In contemporary Britain, you must love jihad, Sharia, and Islamization — or else.

The Jewish Chronicle reported Monday that the Charity Commission “issued a disqualification order” against Mond “in 2023 over comments and actions on social media which were allegedly ‘anti-Muslim.’” Would the Charity Commission have issued a disqualification order against Mond for comments and actions on social media which were allegedly anti-Christian or anti-Jewish? What do you think?

In any case, the good news is that “Thursday’s judgement by the First-tier Tribunal is the first case in which anyone has successfully overturned such an order.” Mond stated that he was “pleased” by the judgment, and he noted correctly that it “says far more about the Charity Commission than it does about me.” Mond also asked how the Charity Commission ever got the idea that it had the authority “to police the political views of trustees and disqualify them.”

Indeed. And even worse, Mond ran afoul of the Charity Commission for the crime of liking Facebook posts by Pamela Geller, who was banned from Britain in 2013 for daring to oppose jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women. The clueless and compromised British political establishment wouldn’t stand for that back then, and is even less disposed to do so now.

In Mond’s case, “the two likes, which took place in 2017, were in response to the victory of Emmanuel Macron over Marine Le Pen in the 2017 French Presidential election, with the posts saying saying: ‘France has chosen to go quietly into the cold, dark night. They voted for submission over freedom. France is finished.’” For liking that entirely accurate observation, the Charity Commission moved to ban Mond. Mond himself, by contrast, has stood his ground, saying of Geller’s posts that “There was nothing controversial about what I liked.” Indeed.

Nevertheless, Mond told Geller that “at the hearing, I was cross examined for about an hour on why I liked your posts of seven to eight years ago!”

It cost Mond around £60,000 ($75,500) to mount his appeal against the Charity Commission’s ruling. He wondered whether there have “been others who have been threatened and didn’t have the money,” and there almost certainly have been. After all, when Pamela Geller was banned from the country in 2013, the Board of Deputies of British Jews told the British government that despite Geller’s strong stand for Israel and defense of Jews everywhere, they would mount no objection.

They did this despite the fact that documents obtained through Britain’s version of the Freedom of Information Act revealed that Geller’s support of Israel was a large part of the reason why she was banned, along with the fear of violent reprisal from Muslims if she had been allowed to enter. They didn’t want this to become public knowledge because “some American presidents have agreed with that,” and the Board of Deputies of British Jews should have objected, but instead, everyone just went along.

Everyone is still just going along in Britain, with the notable exception of Gary Mond and a handful of others. Pamela Geller sounded the alarm years ago, but not only was she not heeded: she was vilified and banned from the country, while those such as Mond who agreed with her were persecuted. Now Britain is reaping what it has sown, and its collapse as a free society is on the horizon. The fall of Britain will be immense, and its consequences will be many, but one of the worst aspects of it will be the fact of how very preventable it all was.
