Pettiness, ignobility, cowardice, and rabid individualism were historically anathema to Western man, but they are evidently now part of the zeitgeist, beginning with the narcissism, self-centredness, ego-centrism, selfishness, self-indulgence, and atomization of the Baby Boomer generation.
