Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, opposes a proposed election rule change requiring three poll workers to count ballots separately at precincts on election night to verify the number matches the voting machines’ record.
Raffensperger says it “undermines voter confidence” if ballots are hand counted to ensure totals match with the machines and voter check ins.
Actually, it undermines confidence when top election officials really don’t want you to hand count ballots to see if the numbers match.
