‘We are way behind’: Top DeSantis PAC official sounds alarm

By Politico, July 4, 2023

A top spokesperson for Ron DeSantis’ super PAC is sounding a decidedly dour note on the Florida governor’s presidential prospects, saying his campaign is facing an “uphill battle” and is trailing badly in the key nominating states.

Steve Cortes, who previously supported Donald Trump, also heaped praise on the former president, calling him a “runaway frontrunner” and “maestro” of the debate.

Considering what happened in 2020, no Republican should be running against President Trump. To do so is to accept the theft of political power. To run against President Trump is to agree to engage in mud slinging during any debate, effectively becoming a soldier in the Democrat Party.

Moderator to Ron – You don’t say much do you?

Ron – Ugh Ugh Ugh Ugh Ugh Ugh!

The DeSantis campaign counts on a Trump conviction and imprisonment..or assassination as the shoe in … otherwise it’s dead in the water.
So those pushing him support and cheer the Stalinist persecution of Trump and add legitimacy to it when the key is to highlight the illegitimate nature of the lawfare against Trump.

Yes. Trump’s opponents can hate him, but criminalizing him is such a bad precedent for left and right.

“or assassination as the shoe in”

If that happens, then we will definitely be like the KGB. Weaponization plus assassination is how their candidates get high poll numbers and votes.

PUTIN brags about his high poll numbers over 20 years in a field where his chief rivals have been pre-eliminated. I.e. Alexei Navalny, Pregozhin. Not that those guys might be any better necessarily, but pre-elimination is Vlad’s secret sauce.

Go back a few years….we’ve already had some suspicious deaths during a prior administration.

John Mc Cain was a Pentagon favorite, but he still lost to a Harvard elitist in 2008 who campaigned on ending the Iraq War. Mr. Obama botched the withdrawal, but at least he wasn’t just “controlled opposition” since he did end that war against the wishes of neo-conservatives like John Bolton.

George Bush senior was head of the CIA, and he still lost to a hippie in 1992.

and then of course there’s Trump, who still prevailed and was certified by the Electoral college. He laid the ground work for the Afghan withdrawal, even though it was poorly executed by Mr. Biden.

Elections worked in the US over several decades before the age of weaponization.

100%, And the sad fact is that the same Deep State, FBI/CIA ET AL, took out JFK, so it has been done before. I pray for President Trump to be kept safe.

Due to the election laws, neither DeSantis or any other person from Florida can run as VP under Trump.

After what the Meatball did to Trump I would not even want him as a VP. Kari Lake all the way.

Nah. Ms. Lake seems unaware that Russia is a major ally of China and Iran.

She believes that Russia is merely a defensive country and is unfamiliar with Russian ideology and what their true motivations are.

At least Mr. Trump knows what Putin is up to:

“Russians trying to rebuild the Soviet Union probably with a different name, is what this invasion of Ukraine is all about to a large extent.”

Not surprised that DeSantis is trailing behind Trump. Am surprised that Ramaswamy who is a RINO is in third place. Many conservatives will not be voting for Ramaswamy in the primary.

Steve Cortes took the Big Con money and ran with it. I stopped paying attention to him when he signed up to join DeSwampo’s campaign. And I do not feel bad he was stupid enough to think the Meatball could beat Trump.

Ron DeSantis spent his political Goodwill at the urging of the Never Trumpers and the Paul Ryan GOPe loons advice, he was lied to about the Republican base leaving President Trump for him, worse than that, he has proven that he is disloyal to the “Movement” by not supporting the innocent man who has taken all of the Deep State arrows for all of us, why would we leave the side of the best President in our lifetimes? Why would we succumb to the Soros paid ongoing assault from Rogue DA’s? Mean tweets? WE NEED THAT FIGHTER NOW MORE THAN EVER! TRUMP/LAKE-2024

De Santis is great no doubt about it – but this is too soon DJT needs another shot to finish what he started – I believe he’s more astute as a politician now and what needs to be done to mitigate the effects of the rinos

I said it from the beginning. ANYONE who runs against Trump for the Presidency is a TRAITOR. That includes any Democrats. If they are Republican they should be uniting their forces and insure Trump wins and there is NO STEALING of this election. They should be working together for the sake of America and the people.
