Only One-Fifth of Palestinians Oppose the Jihad Terror Murders of Israelis

The latest opinion poll makes clear that the Palestinians are the real obstacle to peace. More on this opinion poll, and what its results signify, can be found here.

The poll also reveals that 68 percent of Palestinians favor the formation of armed groups such as the Lions’ Den, whose members have carried out a series of attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers in the Nablus area over recent months.

More than two-thirds of Palestinians favor these new terror groups that have recently been appearing. The leaders of these new groups, like those of the Lions’ Den, haven’t yet had time to become corrupt, a refreshing contrast to the colossally corrupt leaders of Hamas and the P.A.’s Fatah.

A majority of 58 percent expect armed groups to grow and spread to other parts of the West Bank, while 61 percent expect security conditions to worsen and lead to the eruption of a third armed intifada.

Palestinian opposition to the two-state solution stands at 71 percent, while only 27 percent support the concept, according to the PCPSR poll. In the last poll, conducted at the end of 2022, support for the two-state solution was 32 percent.

In just three months, Palestinian support for the “two-state solution” has decreased from 32 to 27 percent. At that rate, by the end of 2023 that support will sink to 7 percent. The recent upsurge in Palestinian-Israeli violence in the West Bank, and the IDF’s aggressive response to terror attacks by conducting raids in Nablus and Jenin, has made Palestinian support for terror attacks on Israelis harden, and support increase, too, for a “one-state solution” that would mean the disappearance of the Jewish state, and the creation of a state of Palestine “from the river to the sea.”

Another variant on the “one-state solution” differs in both tactics and timing. In this variant, first described above, the one state, consisting of Palestinians and Jews, would quickly be dominated demographically by Palestinians, both because their fertility rates outpace those of the Jews, and because of the millions of Palestinians who would presumably exercise their Right-of-Return, which would bring several million more Palestinians into the state, overwhelming the Jews. Then it would be up to the Palestinians to decide whether to expel, or kill them, or tolerate them as dhimmis.

The so-called Palestinian “moderates, ” like Mahmoud Abbas, prefer a “two-state solution,” but the Palestinian state they foresee would still be a launching pad for terror attacks on a much diminished Jewish state, now back within the 1949 armistice lines.

In sum:

First, nearly three-quarters (71%)of Palestinians now support terror attacks on Israelis. These are not “partners for peace” as the Bidenites hopefully proclaim.

Second, only one-fifth (21%)of Palestinians oppose terror attacks on Israelis. Ditto.

Third, eight percent of Palestinians are unsure of where they stand on terror attacks.

Fourth, nearly three-quarters (71%) of Palestinians support a “one-state solution,” which can mean either of two possibilities: first, a state of “Palestine,” with all the Jews expelled, extending “from the river to the sea,” or second, a binational state of Arabs and Jews which would soon be dominated by the Palestinians, as a result of their higher birth rates and the exercise of the Right of Return, by millions of Palestinians abroad, at which point they would have to decide whether they want to expel the Jews, or to allow some of them to remain in “Palestine,” as has recently been suggested, to be tolerated as talented and industrious dhimmis, capable of creating wealth for the Palestinians.

Fifth, those Palestinians who favor the “two-state solution” hope to use their state as a launching pad for attacks on Israel, much reduced in size, as it how has been squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines.

Sixth, sixty-eight percent of Palestinians now favor the formation of more armed groups presumably less corrupt than the existing groups like Hamas, PIJ, and Fatah.

All of which adds up to this: Israel cannot count on a permanent peace with the Palestinians, but can attain a reasonably peaceful modus vivendi – the best “peace,” given its implacable enemy, that Israel can hope for. It has to keep the Golan Heights, and has to retain military control of the West Bank, if it is to be able to hold off potential invaders from the north and east. There is no one-state or two-state or n-state “solution” to the endless Arab war on Israel. There is only one way for Israel to prevent the outbreak of a major war, the same way that the Americans employed during the Cold War – deterrence. Israel has to remain overwhelmingly stronger than any conceivable combination of its enemies. Only thus can peace possibly be maintained.
