Teachers unions are helping anti-Semitism gain a foothold in K-12 public schools by normalizing hatred of Israel

Sadly, the anti-Israel material in our K-12 public schools is not surprising. The teachers unions are lead by overt Leftists, such as the utterly despicable AFT President Randi Weingarten. Weingarten (who is Jewish) has publicly derided Israel on more than one occasion, and refuses to challenge any efforts to promote the BDS Movement by the various teachers unions. No backlash from the ADL either.

If this anti-Israel indoctrination is not stopped, life for Jewish students in our public schools will become untenable. Just like our universities. America’s credible pro-Israel Jewish and Evangelical organizations must fight this.

Teachers unions are helping anti-Semitism gain a foothold in K-12 public schools by normalizing hatred of Israel

Endorsing BDS and teaching defamatory material on Israel has become mainstream.

By JNS, September 12, 2022

In recent years, anti-Semitism in the U.S. educational system has been primarily associated with the demonization of Israel at institutions of higher education. Activism that targets Jews and a rise in support for the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement among students and faculty underscores the increasing anti-Semitism on American campuses.

However, efforts to delegitimize the Jewish state are now moving from higher education to K-12 public schools. Attempts to falsely label Israel an “apartheid state” and promote similar forms of defamation are being aided and abetted by teachers unions and normalized by mainstream Jewish groups.
