Man Allegedly Pulls Gun On Man Wearing MAGA Hat, Tells Him, ‘It’s A Good Day For You To Die’
On Saturday in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a man from Tennessee allegedly pulled a gun on a man wearing a Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat, stuck the gun in the MAGA-hat-wearing man’s face and reportedly threatened, “It’s a good day for you to die.”
The police report stated that the gun-wielding man was identified as James Phillips, 57, of Cottontown, Tennessee, according to WNKY. Phillips admitted he had given the finger to Terry Pierce and his wife, who were shopping at a Sam’s Club, as WBKO reported. WNKY added that according to the citation given Phillips, Pierce responded by giving the finger back at Phillips, prompting him to pull his gun.
Story continues below advertisementPierce told WNKY, “My wife was at Sam’s Club shopping Saturday night, and as we was walking up to the check-out line, a man approached us and flipped us off. I didn’t see the initial act; I seen him bringing his hands down and my wife had said, ‘Did he just flip us off?’ And she hollered at him, ‘Hey, did you flip me off?’ And he turned around and he done it again, and he said, “Yeah, I flipped you off because of them explicative hats you got on.’”
Pierce continued, “And when he said that, I went after him. And I went to him and I said, ‘What’s your problem, buddy?’ And he started screaming at me, so I returned the favor to him. Next thing I know, he drew a .40 caliber and stuck it in my face. Told me, he said, ‘This is a good day for you to die.’ And I asked him, I said, ‘Well, then, pull the trigger. Either put the gun down or pull the trigger’ … And he left, and when he did, I went after him. I actually, before I went after him, Sam’s Club management had come and said, ‘Did that guy pull a gun on you?’ I said, ‘Yes, he did.’ I said, ‘I’m going after him.’ They said, “No, don’t. We do not do stuff like that; we don’t want you having nothing to do with that.’ I said, ‘That’s not me. I’m going after him.’”
Pierce added, “So me and my wife went after him trying to find him, cause he’s already disappeared in the store. She seen him leaving the store, so I took out after him at the store, caught him out in the parking lot getting ready to get in his vehicle. And he couldn’t get in — he couldn’t leave because his mother was still inside the store shopping. And another argument ensued right there in the parking lot. And I told him, he said, ‘You assaulted me.’ I said, ‘Man, I never touched you.’ I said, ‘What gives you the right to come up and say and do something like that to us?’ And it just kept escalating and Sam’s Club management had already called the law, and that’s when they arrived and took over.”

I thought a .44 magnum has a lot more KE than a .45? So even though it’s a smaller caliber it has more stopping power?

The casing for the 44 magnum is longer than the 44 standard. This moves a heavier bullet (44 @ 240 grains) opposed to a slower 45 bullet (ranging 185 to 230 grains) at half the speed and energy of the 44.
The 44 mag is usually a revolver and the 45 Colt is as well, but the standard is the 45 ACP which is used in a pistol and can not handle the pressures developed by the magnum round. There is also a 44 auto mag, which uses a cut down .308 Winchester casing cut down to 44 length, The revolver cartrtiges are generally “rimmed” bullets, while pistol bullets are generally rimless.

A pistol feeds from a magazine, and a revolver from a revolving cylinder. It’s no longer considered the same, though in the day of single shoot muzzle loading handguns, your claim would be correct.

Not so! The 45 was developed during the fight against the doped up Moros of the Philippines. The Army .36 simply would not stop them. Enter the 1911 45 ACP with it’s big slow moving bullet that would knock down the Moro’s. Nothing better since and still top dog. But a mm or the forty will kill you.

Those ballistics are correct. The .44 will penetrate and in many cases pass right through a person and they will still be standing. It is not like the dirty Harry movie where it throws them back like they have been hit by an 8 gauge shotgun. The .45 is slower moving round and will knock a person down quicker. You would have had to have been in some fire fights to understand. The .45 as I stated was developed for that reason. I know from personal experience.

They will all kill you but the idea is to stop them before they can harm you. The fact is for many years including the fights with the Moros nothing stopped them like the .45. Now we have a lot of new ammunition that create devastating wounds in most caliber’s.

It was reported as a ,40. More than likely a S&W .40. It’s a necked down 10mm. I have one, but rarely carry it. However, from what I have read, damned find ballistics on that round.

Fake news is one thing (a very bad thing don’t get me wrong), but when the irresponsibility is literally splashed everywhere and spreads its’ own brand of hate and racism that leads to people taking matters into their own hands in response to the faked story, and could well lead to someone’s death, it crosses an ethical line that all should be furious about. Heads need rolling but apart from this idiot Smollet, we all know squat is going to happen.
An interesting note from the “Amazing Polly”, she pointed out the baffling, recent (Feb14) legislation on “lynching” that was pushed by Kamala Harris and Corey Broker (lynching would already have been covered under existing law ??). This Smollet incident was front page Jan.29, and there are pictures of Harris, Smollet and his sister together at some rally some time before all this. Both Harris and Broker capitalized on the rope around Smollet’s neck as ” a modern day lynching attempt” – hmm, 2 weeks later their proposed “lynching” bill passes. Nothing to see here folks, just a coincidence.

Yes for two months after my wife left me with two kids until I could get settled and a job as I had gotten out of Army and they were food stamps. That is what the system was designed for not for the parasites to sit around and suck it dry. And I’ve been paying taxes prior to and since that time….so your point being what?

What I think is you have had foodstamps: “EBT” stands for “Electronic Benefits Transfer.” A person gets a card with magnetic strip, hence “electronic”, like credit cards.

The guy probably lived in his mom’s basement. I hope he presses charges, finds witnesses and take that lunatic’s gun away, at the least.
