Leonardo da Vinci, St John the Baptist (1513).

The painting is considered one of the masterpieces the legendary artist crafted in his mature years.

St. John the Baptist was painted by Leonardo da Vinci during 1513 to 1516, when the High Renaissance was metamorphosing into Mannerism, it is believed to be his last painting. This is an oil painting on walnut wood. The original size of the work was 69×57 cm. It is now exhibited at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France.

Story continues below advertisement

He has a womanish arm bent across his breast, his finger raised towards heaven, and that same enigmatic smile so admired on the face of Mona Lisa, a smile which can be seen in other Leonardo paintings like that of St. Anne. His face is almost faun-like and framed by a glorious cascade of curls.

This is the last known major work in Leonardo’s hand. The figure’s haunting beauty comes from the ambiguity of its sexual identity. The luminous face seems to be an emanation of the darkness that completely envelops it. The mysterious gesture of the raised arm with upward-pointing finger is not just of religious but probably also of esoteric significance. (more)

Although I like Leonardo Da Vinci he paints this guy to look like a women. I don’t think John the Baptist had long hair.

Dear Mr “Alleged” – Only just saw this. I was not actually ‘there’ in person, of course, but I am a student of history. Most of the 12 “tribes” of Israel had long hair – like John. The Romans, who were their “masters” had short hair – known today as a “caesar” haircut – for obvious reasons. The chinese had long “pigtails” down their back. I could go on, but I don’t have much time to “waste”. The “weather” is another question – we know about “Noah and “The Flood” – things like that – many, many stories about “weather” in our history – and even in our pre-history – get a good encyclopaedia.

NO! That is wrong and LAZY thinking.

A Nazarene took a VOW no razor should touch their head is true. However, when the VOW of SHAME was over they were to SHAVE their heads.

So, hippies with long hair are telling you what a SHAMEFOOL man I am. I want to look like a woman. Keeping with what Paul said that even nature teaches you it is a SHAME for a man to have long hair, but not for women.

And why do all your religious leaders have short hair but portray their master with long hair? Where is their long hair? Yeah, they
look holy but make sure the Messiah looks like a hippie.

NO! “That is wrong and LAZY thinking”. It’s a RE-ACTION which is self-defensive and incorrect.
First of all – my apologies – but I didn’t realize they had RAZORS 2,000 years ago. My mistake.
Where did you get your “information”- that “no razor could touch their head”. What is the VOW of shame? I don’t KNOW any “hippies with long hair” – let alone any who would tell me that YOU are a
SHAMEFOOL. They don’t KNOW you and they certainly don’t know me. As far as I’m concerned,
you can have your hair ANY LENGTH you want. It’s totally up to you. I don’t LIKE bald (shaved) heads much. If the guy has lost his hair naturally, I don’t mind a bald head. I judge people by their
character – and by their HEART – I don’t care about their hair, or their clothes or any of that CLAPTRAP. Would you mind telling me CHAPTER & VERSE for Paul’s statement that it is a SHAME for a man to have long hair, but not for women. As far as “Religious Leaders” having short hair – many of them do have short hair I guess – but that’s because they’re “straight” – pardon the
expression – it’s a hangover from the 60’s – it was used to describe people who were “orthodox”.
Jesus Christ had long hair – but it definitely wasn’t “hippie” hair – hippies were not invented until the 60’s – they didn’t exist 2000 years ago. (as far as I know). What I do KNOW, however, is that ALL
TWELVE TRIBES of ISRAEL had long hair. I don’t think Jesus THOUGHT much about his hair.
He had more important things to deal with. I sincerely want to help you to understand all this – If you want to talk about it – if not, that’s fine too. God Bless You.

Those verses are in the Bible. DON’T GET LAZY.

My, you go to great ends to DEFY the living God. You just don’t want to believe Him therefore he has given you over to the LIE.

It is NOT your time to know the truth. When you die and are resurrected you will be given your first and last chance.

Right now you are 0-1. Don’t blow it next time.

PG&E said it found bullet holes in power lines and equipment at the site where a costly 2018 wildfire started. A few years ago some Arab men were seen and reported shooting rifles at power company equipment east of San Francisco.
But now PG&E is filing bankruptcy and the California Mexican Legislature has passed a law authorizing PG&E to raise rates to cover the costs of lawsuits by property owners to pay for the damages, whether insured or not. But no investigation has been even started much less determined that PG&E and not some immigrant obamista terrorists is responsible for the fires. Now Southern California Edison is facing the same kinds of lawsuits — and bankruptcy.
Ann Coulter said: There is not a single major problem facing the United States today that can’t be traced directly to immigration.
Los Angeles teachers are on strike starting today, claiming class sizes of up to 60 students or more are too arduous for students and teachers.
But nobody seems to notice that 2,000 people a day are walking across our southern border or dare mention that it could have something to do with the sight of our society going under everywhere we look. Least of all the crony bureaucrat apparatchik Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti (who is running for president) or the brand new Communist-Satanist governor of California — Newsom — who as a married candidate in a previous campaign carried on an adulterous affair with the wife of his campaign manager.
And now he’s the governor.
Wow! Corrupt.

There is a woman – DEBORAH TAVARES – see her website “Stop the Crime.net” – she has been doing investigations and making films of her findings about the California “fires” – in SANTA ROSA, Ca. in October, 2017 , and a year later in PARADISE, Ca and Malibu – they’re just the tip of the iceberg. She and her husband owned a business – real estate – developing and selling property, etc. They lost everything in the 2008 financial debacle. The “Federal Reserve” “created” billions of dollars for the 4 or 5 top “banks” who would have gone belly-up. I don’t know yet if everything we hear is true – but SOMETHING’s NOT RIGHT. An image that has never left my mind is a film that Deborah made in Santa Rosa, after the “fire” in this ‘housing settlement’ of beautiful middle and upper class homes, with many ODD features of the devastation. All the houses were completely destroyed, leaving just the brick fireplaces standing. Many trees burned from the INSIDE – the outsides intact. But the strangest of all – ALL THE CARS WERE BURNED OUT FROM THE INSIDE – Just the frames left. And the BIG, TELL-TALE – The aluminum tires had COMPLETELY MELTED – there were rivulets of aluminum flowing down the sidewalks, clumping in “puddles” of melted aluminum! Temperatures have to be around 2000F in order to melt aluminum! She interviewed the FIRE CHIEF – what he had to say was ENLIGHTENING. And you know how she got alerted to the fact that “something” wasn’t right? She went to an L.A. City Council meeting re P.G.&E. – and who should be sitting in the front row – but ROTHSCHILD. He’s an OWNER of PG&E! He apparently owns many different utility companies across the country. I haven’t investigated this sufficiently yet – but I KNOW something’s going on which is not RIGHT. I’ve recently started investigating the “5G” installations which were forced on many neighborhoods in Los Angeles, It just goes on and on. Bigger that we ever imagined. Somehow, I think our President is aware of all these things and he’s handling them – one by one. Now I understand why he never sleeps. He said recently he LIKES getting up early – LOVES problem solving. Thank GOD he came to us! God Bless our President. God Bless America

Thanks for that information and link.
Bret Baier on FOX tonight reported that:
1) PG&E is in bankruptcy,
2) PG&E will pass on its $30 Billion liability for fire damage to ratepayers,
and
3) There IS GOING TO BE an investigation to determine the cause of the fires.
Does something seem screwed up about the sequence of these things?
Not for the Socialist State of California de Mexico.

This type of art was part of the process of subtly perverting the reality of Christianity. John the Baptist would definitely have not have been feminine at all. He was a very rugged individual who was indwelt by the Holy Spirit from conception and led a set apart life. He was called to live and die as he did in order to prepare the way for the ministry of Jesus on earth.

I hate it. Not sure where it is exhibited. I had been to the Louvre decades ago, as well as other museums, but never saw this one. I am pretty sure John the Baptist would hate it too. This idiotic representation is sort of mind bending considering his head was chopped off for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

Interesting – Leonardo DaVinci’s beautiful “Saint John the Baptist” who was beheaded for his beliefs and you, Pamela,
being threatened with beheading by ‘isis’ – disgusting idiots – puts you in good company. We are praying for you –
that God will protect you and you will be SAFE.
