PATHETIC! 30 Dems Caught Partying In Puerto Rico During Government Shutdown

Despite their rhetoric to the contrary, Democrats aren’t very motivated to roll up their sleeves and get about the business of reopening the government even as federal employees just went without their first paycheck.
Chuck and Nancy continue to play politics in what is little more than a nasty pissing contest with President Trump and while Dems speak of the impact on those most affected by what is now the longest such shutdown ever, many party members are so disinterested by the plight of the little people that they are spending the weekend partying in Puerto Rico.
That’s right, in a disgusting and pathetic display of apathy and greed, around thirty members of Congress are hitting the beaches on a junket sponsored by the corporations that own them and are schmoozing with lobbyists and the cast of the hip hop musical “Hamilton” in which that nation’s founding fathers are black.

Some 30 Democratic lawmakers left the government shutdown behind Friday on a chartered flight to Puerto Rico for a winter retreat with 109 lobbyists and corporate executives during which they planned to see the hit Broadway show “Hamilton” and attend three parties including one with the show’s cast.
Those attending the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC winter retreat in San Juan planned to meet with key officials to discuss the cleanup after Hurricane Maria at a roundtable Saturday.
But the weekend is packed with free time for the members and their families on the trip.
“We are excited for you to join us for CHC BOLD PAC’s 2019 Winter Retreat in San Juan, Puerto Rico! Each year, this retreat serves as a way for our CHC BOLD PAC Members and friends in the D.C. community to come together to escape the cold and discuss our shared priorities for a stronger and more prosperous country,” said a memo on the trip.
Some 109 lobbyists and corporate executives are named in the memo, a rate of 3.6 lobbyists for every member. They include those from several big K Street firms, R.J. Reynolds, Facebook, Comcast, Amazon, PhRMA, Microsoft, Intel, Verizon, and unions like the National Education Association.
One prominent Democrat seen on the beach was New Jersey Senator Robert “Bob” Menendez who may be one of the most corrupt individuals in Congress and who just last year managed to wriggle his way out of a federal case against him and then was amazingly reelected by liberals in the Garden State despite his flagrant abuse of his office to feather his own nest. It has also been reported that Menendez has a taste for younger women, something that this picture does nothing to dispel.

The weekend will culminate in a party with the cast of the politically-charged “Hamilton” which should really warm the hearts of those who didn’t get a paycheck this week.
The height of shamelessness?
Once word got out that they were having a grand old time while their constituents suffered, they quickly glommed onto Hurrican Maria relief as the primary reason for their being on the island instead of cozying up to lobbyists.

The optics are not very good for the Democrats and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was quick to point it out:

Nancy Pelosi was also invited but appears to be a no-show after her trip to Hawaii in the early days of the shutdown.

Menendez never does. The only reason he had problems was his bucking Obama on Cuba. Then Obama used his people to go after him. It was a hung jury. Instead of retrying him, they let him off. He is sooooo corrupt. DEMS get away with everything.

Menendez is a mess and our Senator! He is a pedophile, take bribes off pharm companies and even had a convicted illegal pedophile working with him on his previous run. It’s stunning how people will vote DEM in NJ with the hope of “free stuff” and for illegals to be here and of course illegals vote too!. Three or four million of our tax dollars has been set aside, by our new liberal DEM governor, no vote taken by the public through a referendum or anything like that to fight the deportations of illegals. It just magically happened within the first week or so of his being Governor! Just like capital punishment vanished. A “study” was done, no details revealed but allot of money went into someone’s pocket with the result being it was “ineffective” and “cruel punishment”. All I can say is 2-3 more years, at most, and we are out of NJ forever! I will miss Long Beach Island, NJ. Not being a native of NJ, but vacationed on LBI NJ growing up we will miss that. The sunsets and weather is wonderful there. NJ as a state is known to be very corrupt but now they don’t even try to give the appearance of being lawful.
Speaking of LBI, it was crime free – no drugs, no prostitution, robberies etc. It is still very clean and very family friendly but too built up. They are overdue for another big storm. The Mob controlled everything. The Russians came in and ran Hartman’s Amusement park, now known as Fantasy Island, because they didn’t like minorities. You will not find minorities there. It is still a nice family place for a vacation but not as nice as it used to be. It was a known secret that the mob used that for their families for a local vacation. It was mostly people from NY and PA. When beach bonfires were made illegal – it didn’t matter. All we had to do was knock on Mayor Mancini’s door across the street and invite one of their kids over and we’d have bonfires on the beach. Oh the stories I could tell! To the best of my knowledge they may still control it.
