FBI, DOJ to Defy Trump Order; Redactions Planned As Top ‘Deep State’ Dems Demand Insubordination

28

President Donald Trump may have ordered his Department of Justice to immediately declassify and release certain documents related to the Russia collution investigation “without redaction.” But his own DOJ isn’t listening.

Seems as if a showdown is on the way.

Here’s a look at the letter from top Democrats, demanding the agencies defy Trump:

Story continues below advertisement

And apparently, the DOJ is going to redact away.

That’s according to several sources speaking to Bloomberg.

Truly, does Jeff Sessions work at the president’s pleasure or not?

More from Zero Hedge:

Despite President Trump’s Monday order for the “immediate declassification” of sensitive materials related to the Russia investigation, “without redaction,” the agencies involved are planning to do so anyway, according to Bloomberg, citing three people familiar with the matter.

The Justice Department, FBI and Office of the Director of National Intelligence are going through a methodical review and can’t offer a timeline for finishing, said the people, who weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the sensitive matter. -Bloomberg

Trump ordered the DOJ to release the text messages of former FBI Director James Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, now-fired special agent Peter Strzok, former FBI attorney Lisa Page and twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr.

Also ordered released are specific pages from the FBI’s FISA surveillance warrant application on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page, as well as interviews with Ohr.

The DOJ and the FBI are expected to submit proposed redactions to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence – which will prepare a package for Trump to sign off on.

“When the president issues such an order, it triggers a declassification review process that is conducted by various agencies within the intelligence community, in conjunction with the White House counsel, to seek to ensure the safety of America’s national security interests,” a Justice Department spokesman said in a statement. “The department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are already working with the Director of National Intelligence to comply with the president’s order.”

The agencies are likely to cite national security concerns over revealing classified “sources and methods” pertaining to the Russia investigation – which will put them in direct conflict with Trump’s order. Trump, as president, has the power to override the agencies and declassify material on his own.

Trump’s order to release the documents comes after months of requests from GOP lawmakers, while the DOJ has repeatedly denied their requests for more transparency.

The FBI’s spy… According to Bloomberg, the DOJ is interpreting Trump’s request to include information about the use of confidential informant (spy) Stephan Halper during the early stages of the Trump-Russia investigation. After taking in over $400,000 from the Obama Pentagon under the auspices of a research contract, Halper befriended and spied on members of the Trump campaign, including aides Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.

Showdown?

Top Congressional Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff and Mark Warner penned a joint letter to ODNI Director Dan Coates, Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding that the agencies defy President Trump.

In the letter, the lawmakers “express profound alarm” at the decision to “intervene in an ongoing law enforcement investigation that may implicate the President himself or those around him.”

“Any decision by your offices to share this material with the President or his lawyers will violate longstanding Department of Justice polices, as well as assurances you have provided to us.”

The letter then demands that the agencies brief the Gang of Eight before releasing the materials “to anyone at the White House.”

In short, prepare for fireworks.

Insubordination ?!
Simple insubordination is grounds for
permanent termination every single time.
Fire every single one of them who does not comply.

Clinton mafia still active after Trump takeover as they kill another witness to email investigation http://tinyurl.com/y8p9cv5l

They know their hold overs in FBI / DOJ /NSC will help them out !

Unless they are totally purged including Left/Liberal judges to keep out their bias …its uphill task to prosecute them.

Refusal to comply with the order of the President automatically identifies the individual as a member of the deep state. What better way to drain the swamp? The swamp members identify themselves by their own insubordination which is perfect cause for their termination of employment, benefits and retirement. DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Draining the swamp is easier said than done! They know that Trump will not fire them without having a replacement standing by. And the Gov’t employee union will fight the firings tooth and claw.

To the public the Democrats pretend to demand ‘openness and transparency’, in effect truth, but in reality they want truth only when it suites their disgusting and contemptible purpose, Behind it are the usual filthy scumbags and liars, Chuck Schumer, mentally deranged Nancy Pelosi, bug-eyed mental midget Adam Schiff and Charles Warner who wouldn’t know the truth if it smashed into his face attached to a five pound hammer. Somehow Donald Trump has got to thwart these bits of vermin.

The current & corrupt FBI brass think they have Trump over a barrel. If he fires these miscreants then the democrats and enemy MSM will scream “Obstruction of Justice!” and bloody murder, and this is calculated to seriously hurt the GOP in Nov. IMO Trump should just do the right thing and clean out the rotten FBI deep state and trust that most American voters are not as ignorant & stupid as the democrats depend on.

I simply cannot understand Left Wingnut Regressives. Making information public, is for greater transparency and is informing the public. That would seem to be the exact opposite of obstruction. However, not being a Left Wingnut Regressive … Perhaps they can explain it to me.

If you, also, got a labotomy…that’s the only way they could ‘explain’ it to you so you’d ‘understand’ it!

Americans keep voting Republican but put Democrats in office! Now how do you suppose that happens? Are Republicans, just Democrat sympathisers? Well how about them apples. Who knew? Where the Democrat Donkey leads, the Republican Elephant will follow! I am finished voting Republican and putting a Democrat in office! It is time for a real change

The president cannot, in this instance, utilize the military. It would be a violation of law. However, the US Marshall Service should be standing ready …. as that IS in compliance with the law, and well within the authority, granted by the constitution, of the president. Not only does the president have the right, he has the duty.

Federal employees must obey all lawful orders. Failure to do so is insubordination and this can lead to dismissal. Those employees being insubordinate must be fired.

“Who works for whom, here?” you ask? The FBI and the DOJ work for the sovereign American PEOPLE, pursuant to our Constitution. They do NOT “work for” a rogue President when he orders them to show personal loyalty and help him escape justice. Nobody is above the law. Trump is acting like a dictator who expects nothing but personal loyalty from his subordinates, the Constitution be damned. Thank God for the “deep state.”

Michael. You are delusional. President Trump is duly elected president by American People. If you voted for thief and criminal Hitelry Clinton, you should accept that you lost. Trumps is not “a rogue” President. You have to prove that first, baby. He truly defends our Constitution. DOJ and FBI do not work for DNC, but for American people. So they must comply with the order.

Unless there is a vital national reason for redaction, the President’s orders must be carried out. Embarrassment of the DOJ and/or FBI is not legally sufficient for redactions, except in the minds of the Demorats who signed the letter, and don’t want the truth to be seen by Americans. It is clear that the Democrat leadership, the DOJ and the FBI are all looking forward to the fall elections by their actions.

Negative feedback from Session’s party, the Democrats! No matter who is in the Oval Office, or if the Republicans outnumber the Democrats in the House and Senate the Democrats are always in control. It’s called the “DC Code!” (Democrat Control Code).
Republicans always BOW to the Democrats. ALWAYS. They pucker up and kiss the (D) asses. They also have a mutual masterbation agreement, the D’s & R’s jerk each other off.

This SEDITIOUS act should end the freedom of each of these individuals that put their signatures on this piece of paper. Talk about a “SOFT COUP”! These people are also involved in the HARASSMENT of the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the SUPREME COURT.

Trump should tell Sessions to deliver unredacted docs to him in the White House and then release them to the congress. He has absolute authority to declassify anything in this country. Screw democrats.
