The UK continues its descent into madness. They banned me for opposing jihad terror. And now, when women all over Iran are taking off their hijabs, despite the immense risk in doing so, they’re celebrating the hijab. Do they care about the women who have been beaten and even killed for not wearing the hijab? Do they care about its underlying idea, that women are responsible for preventing men from being tempted, and that if a woman is sexually assaulted or raped anyway, it’s her fault? They do not. They only care about pandering to their growing and restive Muslim community, which won’t be as solicitous of them when Muslims are in power. And in Britain, the way things are going, that won’t be very far into the future.

Mandarins at the Foreign Office invited staff to wear Islamic headscarves for the day, claiming they symbolised ‘liberation, respect and security’.
Story continues below advertisementThe department was accused of backing the ‘institutional oppression of women’ by giving away taxpayer-funded headscarves at a walk-in event to mark World Hijab Day.
The event was held as women in ultra-conservative Iran burned their headscarves in protest at being forced to wear them or face arrest and prison.
Many Muslim women across the world have shunned the hijab – which covers the hair and neck but not the face – as an antiquated, oppressive, religious tool.
The event was last Thursday, just days before Britain marked the 100th anniversary of women being given the vote….
Anti-hijab activist Masih Alinejad told Reuters: ‘We are fighting against the most visible symbol of oppression. These women are saying, “It is enough – it is the 21st century and we want to be our true selves.”’
Tory MP Andrew Bridgen said: ‘I’d like to know whose bright idea this was. It is ridiculous, a complete waste of taxpayers’ money and not the business of a Government department.
‘I can’t see the Foreign Office promoting Christianity or the handing out of crosses.’
An internal email to Foreign Office staff said the event was taking place on February 1 between midday and 2pm inside the department’s headquarters at Whitehall.
It read: ‘Would you like to try on a hijab or learn why Muslim women wear the headscarf? Come along to our walk-in event. Free scarves for all those that choose to wear it for the day or part of the day.
‘Muslim women, along with followers of many other religions, choose to wear the hijab. Many find liberation, respect and security through wearing it. #StrongInHijab. Join us for #WorldHijabDay.’ Posters for the event, featuring Foreign Office branding, were circulated. World Hijab Day, an annual event, was also marked in the Scottish Parliament….

Do you know who started World Hijab Day? Whose bright idea was that? This kind of crap makes me crazy! Take it off, put it on, which is it? Talk about mixed messages! I don’t care if they wear it or not. It just burns me to see the hijab celebrated when women have been jailed or murdered for refusing to wear it. Now Macy’s is getting in on the act by selling modest Muslim clothing in their stores. Go figure!

The absolute level of stupidity of “hijab day” blows my mind. If women are wearing the hijab as a matter of personal choice, as we are continually lectured in the West that they do, then why should we be congratulating and celebrating them for doing what they want to do? BFD. Talk about pandering. Seriously, are we supposed to see all Muslim women as timid and desperate little teenagers who need our affirmation? Poor little dears. Or worse yet, start believing that the solution to gender discrimination and abuse in the workplace is that women cover themselves rather than men start behaving properly?
No one in Western society is even suggesting stopping women who have decided to internalize Islam’s (AKA Allah’s) negative attitude toward sexuality, but that’s not enough. Now we are expected to glorify that mysogyny and ignorance. I think that’s a hard sell for anyone with a functional brain.

True. The modern day tampon was invented by Dr. Earle Haas in 1929. Muslim women (so richly provided for by their men) were expected to just “make do” somehow.

any idea how they stumbled onto using soap?…maybe from the quinoa plant…if you don’t rinse the soapy residue from it ,it will be like eating soap giving you upset digestion……the africans use the rinse water as dish soap and for washing

I read a seventeen year old girl was tortured and murdered in Syria by the women religious police, I forget what they call themselves. She was in a store and slightly raised her veil to look at some burqua outfit and she was seen to do this by the women police and they killed her. You can find it on the Internet. You know why she was really killed? I think she was killed due to jealousy and self loathing. They who killed her were jealous of her, and they hated their lives, so they killed that poor girl. I hope they feel justice some day for what they did.

The Amish have never asked for anyone to dress as they do.
I think people should dress as they wish and no one should coerce others to dress in a certain way. That is infringement and harassment, making one feel uncomfortable if they don’t comply with the “request.” I would be extremely upset at such a request as I believe it would be against my own religion. Let every person wear the cross symbol around their neck as a sign of respect and show of solidarity for all the Christians murdered.
This is just another liberal attempt at desensitization, a propaganda ploy. They are at it 24/7.
