Israel’s Foreign Ministry Condemns Poland Counter-Protesters as ‘Dangerous” and ‘Racist’

37

Israel’s foreign ministry spokesman issued some stark words of warning against a massive counter-protest that surged in Poland over the weekend, saying the gathering seemed rooted in racism and extremism.

Specifically, Emmanuel Nahshon called the event “a dangerous march of extreme and racist elements,” the Washington Post reported.

Israel Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon

He also called on Poland’s government to take action against the protest leaders.

Story continues below advertisement

The condemnation comes on the heels of a counter-movement that swept the normal Independence Day celebrations in Poland.

Most of those taking part in the weekend celebrations were patriots.

But the Washington Post reports on the others:

Poland’s Foreign Ministry said Monday that it strongly condemns racist, anti-Semitic and xenophobic ideas, but insisted that a large weekend march by nationalists in Warsaw was largely an expression of patriotic values.

The ministry said that the march Saturday on the Independence Day holiday was “a great celebration of Poles, differing in their views, but united around the common values of freedom and loyalty to an independent homeland.”

The event was organized by groups that trace their roots to radical nationalist pre-World War II anti-Semitic groups. Some 60,000 people took part, including families with children and older people. But there were also young men carrying banners with messages including “White Europe of brotherly nations.”

Some carried the Celtic Cross, a white supremacist symbol.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon called the event “a dangerous march of extreme and racist elements.”

“We hope that Polish authorities will act against the organizers,” Nahshon said in a statement to The Associated Press. “History teaches us that expressions of racist hate must be dealt with swiftly and decisively.”

The Polish Foreign Ministry said it was not justifiable to define the march based on some “incidental” elements. Underlining its opposition to extremism, the ministry recalled that it had opposed a visit to Poland by Richard Spencer, the leading American white nationalist.

Spencer was originally to have attended a conference in Warsaw a day before the march, but he was taken off the schedule after the ministry said it did not want him in the country.

Since when is carrying a cross a symbol of racism? The Poles have every bit as much of a right to their national heritage and their religion as the Jews.

There are Left/Liberal Israeli loons who lecture others but cannot stop jihadi attacks within Israel. LOL !

Left/Liberal pro-jihadis will sell out the country to jihadis if they had their way. Just like the Leftists Pope who is now calling for more immigrants http://tinyurl.com/popeofwolves

……..Like a shepherd who wants the sheeps to stop protesting against jihadi wolves attacking them and be open hearted to let the wolves come in !

Carrying a symbol, in and of itself, is usually an innocuous jester, except when it is meant and intended to act as an object that is directly related to the anti-Semitism that permeates this world. One cannot really tell what was intended, though representatives of the government of Israel were obviously concerned that in the instance of this march the intention appeared to be sentiments of anti-Semitism. As you may know, history established that within many countries during and prior to WWII, many groups cooperated with the lunatics in the Nazi and Fascist parties who actively contributed to the death of many groups of people who were other believers, including Jews, Gypsy’s, and other groups who were minorities and who were not dangerous nor warlike. You certainly cannot blame these people for being fearful of any movement that even remotely expresses the kind of hate that could precipitate that horrendous conduct. We must all be vigilant about any conduct that may be dangerous to all minority groups. That includes Islamic believers and any other groups that have as their goal domination, forced conversion, death as the result of their conduct. We all must look deeper than the symbol used, as that is nothing more than a symbol; we must determine and recognize what the intended spirit was and is represented by the symbol, and if it supports terrorist type conduct, we must as humanitarians reject it use as such.

The Cross is not a symbol for fascism in Poland or anywhere else. I am not blaming. I am merely pointing out the fact that Christians have a right to protect their own culture. Which culture, by the way, is the culture that ended slavery.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, the real world contains too much violence against people and often times we lose our humanity. Islam, as promoted and preached, and as written within its books is replete with hate towards non-Muslims. These people must be kept out of free world societies, which today remains more humane then what we are seeing in the Middle East and Europe.

It’s not about Jews.
But if you think it is, in Poland the Catholic church saved thousands of Jews during WW2. And many priests and nuns were killed by Germans because of this.

Nice reminder that respecting and protecting freedom of speech is uniquely American and even threatened here. And now even these Jews are joining the group identity left’s by calling an opposition to a religion “racist”. It is fine to oppose the Antisemitism but not demand government oppression.

I agree. It appears Emmanuel Nashon is a Liberal Jew. The same type of Liberal Jews who made similar critical comments about Trump supporters…..because a handful of “Trump supporters” were actually racist or anti-semitic….while the vast majority of Trump supporters are decent people. IF this guy Emmanuel Nashon is really so concerned about anti-semitism…..I would like to know what somebody of his authority has done to help Jewish Americans like Pamela Geller….fight off heavy Islamic Anti-Semitism and threats on a weekly basis? I will bet he has done NOTHING to help Pamela.

Pamela Geller is threatened by vicious Islamic Anti-Semites every week….yet I am unaware of any Liberal Jews coming to her defense.

I proudly wear the Celtic cross around my neck every day. It is a symbol of the Light of the World, not the darkness emanating from socialism, communism, fascism, or any other ism working to destroy freedom.

It’s very interesting…even the swastika was a Hindu and Buddhist religious icon in some parts of Asia (though it is inappropriate in most Western societies today), just as the rainbow was once something innocent, with no connection to gays or lesbians.

How the meaning of symbols sure can change over the centuries.

About 60 000 people took part in this march, mostly young, many families with little kids, quite few old WW2 vets, typical ‘fascist’ bunch. But in these days carrying Cross makes you ‘anti-Semite’ and carrying your country’s flag makes you a ‘fascist’. Poland is one of very few countries where national self-identification, patriotism, common sense and Christianity are still going strong. If Israel identifies itself as a Jewish State (..as it should!), then Poland has EVERY RIGHT to identify itself as a Polish State and reserve for itself a RIGHT, who, when and in what quantity it allows to admit on its SOVEREIGN soil…as Israel does!

Everything “reported” by Washington Post must be treated with deep suspicion. WP on numerous occasions participated along with others from MSM in battue against so called “extreme right” whenever any patriotic voices were presented. Ditto with “Islamic issues”: everything said against jihad and terror done by Mohammedans they brand as “xenophobia,” “Islamophobia,” and “bigotry.” And, unfortunately, representatives of government of Israel not always understand the difference and allow themselves to be carried astray. Hence, until I will know more facts and see naked proofs of their claim, I prefer to say nothing.

I applaud the proud Polish People for marching and denouncing the EU. Poland and other European Countries deserve self-determination and control of their borders. The EU Commission is almost as bad as the Old Soviet Union and their centralized government.

The European People are waking up to the fact that the EU is detrimental to their self-determination. How can a unfettered flow of refugees and migrants be a good thing for any country? Those of us who believe America should come first are still waiting for President Trump to make good on his campaign promises. The Zionists should not mettle in the foreign affairs of countries who want the same thing as the Zionists (who do not allow refugees and migrants into Israel) and that is safety.

It is not OK for the Zionists to talk out of both sides of their mouths but, unfortunately, they are well practiced at it. This is a quote from this article by the Israeli foreign minister’s spokesperson in Poland: “Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon called the event “a dangerous march of extreme and racist elements.” This is a “Shonda” committed by a fork tongued devil.

Israel is still obsessed with the Polish preWW2 anti-Semitism and the failure to recover lost property etc., from there after the war and since and so, you will never find Israel saying anything nice about Poland. But this fellow is a leftist idiot. In other words, I would not take too much notice of such rhetoric especially from someone who was Ankara attaché for so long and now is under Merkel’s spell.

This kind of reminds me of what some Jews said about the Trump supporters at Trump rallies. There were a tiny amount of actual racists and anti-semites at these Trump rallies while the majority of Trump supporters were passionate American patriots. But these particular Jews singled out the extremist element of the Trump rally and tried to DEFINE all or the majority of Trump supporters as “racists”, “anti-semites”, “xenophobes”, etc. It appears its the same situation here. When you have these huge rallies…by law of averages….you are probably going to have some extremists at the rally. [And these Polish rallies are much bigger than the Trump rallies]

But from what I have heard and seen on YouTube pertaining to this recent Polish Independence march….the VAST MAJORITY of Polish people were just average Polish men, women and children showing passion in their patriotism towards Poland and nothing else. They didn’t look like bad people to me. Here is a LONG video of the recent Polish march taken by a British man who was embedded in the Polish march. I don’t seen any racists or anti-semites. Just regular Polish people showing intense patriotism towards their nation. The British man even noted he didn’t see any racists or prejudiced people Just huge numbers of Polish people showing intense Polish patriotism. Here is the video…and you can decide for yourself what kind of people the majority of Polish marchers are.

British man reports on Polish Independence march Nov 11, 2017 – says don’t listen to what the media/critics say about the Polish march

As far as I know, Poland’s remaining Jews are as white as anyone else. If other non white people can murder whites or throw them all out of their coloured countries abroad without being called black or brown racists, then what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

When Poles look West and see the smoke blowing over the border and trickles of blood seeping under the door, who is going to blame them for wanting a white Poland ?

Not me.

To be honest, if there was not so much violent Muslim terrorism in most of their neighbors, the Poles probably would not have rallied as they did.

Both the Jews and the conservatives of Poland should be focusing on their main threat: the very real problem of Islamic terror.

Here is the title from a recent “report” from the Jerusalem Post on the Nov 11 Polish Independence march. It says “POLAND DEFENDS MARCH CALLING FOR ETHNIC CLEANSING OF JEWS, MUSLIMS”. This is absolutely disgusting and appalling that a Jewish newspaper would bash Poland like this when the clear MAJORITY of Polish marchers…including Polish WOMEN and CHILDREN….said NO such thing.

In my opinion, this defamatory title says more about the character of the Jerusalem Post than the character of the Polish marchers. And if the Jerusalem post is concerned about Anti-Semitism…..I would like to know…..WHAT has the Jerusalem Post done to help a Jewish American patriot like Pamela Geller in her fight against vicious Muslim Anti-Semitism directed at her and other Jews? As far as I know….NOTHING. SMH
