No matter what Muslims do, they’re always the victim. Ronan Munro ought to be ashamed of himself for representing this savage and perpetuating his lies. The rapist may have been able to act this way toward his wife in a Muslim country, but he shouldn’t be able to get away with it in Ireland, no matter how loudly he cries “islamofauxbia.”

A convicted rapist has launched an appeal in an Ireland criminal court because he believes the jury was too white and Catholic to give him, a Muslim, a fair trial.

Ronan Munro, the senior counsel for the defence, said that Islamophobia would mean the jury had preconceptions about how Muslims treat women and complained that the judge had not spoken about religion or the fact the man was married to the victim.
During the trial, it was alleged that the man told his wife that she was a “commodity” he could have sex with whenever he wanted because they were living together, he explained.
The jury of 11 men and one woman, including one non-white person, convicted him of raping his wife at their home in May 2014 and of threatening to cut her face and kill her.
Munro said because Muslims are a “hot topic” these days, the jury should have been given a tailored warning.” The attorney also complained about how Ireland is “awash with Islamophobia” which keeps Muslims off of jury selection panels.
However, prosecutors say no one made an issue of the man’s religion because no questions were asked about it, nor was it brought up, during the trial. It was a clearcut case of rape and the man was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Of course, this isn’t the first time a Muslim has blamed Islamophobia for his own conviction…

No, in a civilized society, there is no shame in representing defendents, even repugnant ones. To prevent abuses by the state, I would argue they should be represented. Israel even provided Adolph Eichman with a legal defense team selected by Eichmann. In opposition to the stand of the Israeli government, Pamela seems to share the opinion Ayatollah Khomeini, who, among his many evil pronouncements, claimed, “Defense lawyers merely slow down trials”.

An honorable lawyer would not have represented this savage organic mass (the muslim rapist), this type of crimes should end up being assigned to public defense lawyers or muslim lawyers that share the same cultural / religious affinity to their brethren’s savagery…
Ronan Munro is a bona fide muslim ass licker and probably wants that reputation as he carves himself a niche in the lucrative and growing muslim, criminal defense market

There is shame in trying to use the specter of racism to defend a rapist. In a civilized society, the lawyers are supposed to present their case to the jury, not demonize them with muslim created slurs like ‘islamofauxbia’, and try to get the case tossed based on the jury’s race and religion. If anything, he should be disbarred.

While I wouldn’t care to comment on the specifics of this case, the legal system should do what it can to ensure that juries are not swayed by prejudice that are irrelevant to guilt or innocence of the accused. Moreover, I think it should be noted that while the criminal justice system is intended to bring out the truth, defense attorneys are not so obliged- in fact, part of their job is to sow uncertainly and generally to throw sand in the eyes of the prosecution.
I have no reason to think Munro did anything unethical and so disbarrment procedings should not even be considered. His job is to act in his client’s best interests, not those of the victim. In an adversarial trial, it is the prosecutor’s role to stand up for the victim, and that’s a pretty good system.
The presense of a significant sub-population that does not hold dear the premises of the jury sysem is very much a threat to justice. As it is, I question whether or not the jury system as it is now constituted in the USA is working.
I think you are blaming the criminal justice system- specifically protections for the accused- for matters outside its purview. It never was intended to deal with foreign invasion.

Usually jury selection is when they weed out anyone with prejudice that might affect their ability to look at evidence objectively.
For this lawyer to try and distort the initial decision and blame it on racism from the jury brings his ethics into question.
You see, it’s not the system I have beef with, it’s the lawyer that tries to subvert it in the most disgusting manner, accusing the jury of racism, when, in fact, he’s being racist and casting aspersions on the jury, since they’re a different color and creed than his client.

I do not have sufficient information to know whether or not there was racism on the part of the jury, and I question whether or not you do. The attorney should be free to make that claim to the court. If he persistantly makes frivolous claims, the court can apply sanctions against him.
But once again, I note that a defense attorney’s job is to represent his client’s interests, not those of the victim and not those of society at large. I do not think we want to change that. It then becomes the court’s job is to decide on the merits of his claim.
I am disappointed that Pamela thinks an attorney should be “ashamed of himself for representing this savage.” Instead, the defense attorney should take a certain professional pride that his client had representation in a trial. Civilized societies should not imprison people without that representation.

So he loses the case, then appeals based on racism because the jury was a different color and creed. His job is to present his case, he failed, now he cries ‘Racism!’.
He should be ashamed for being an agent of subversion in disguise as an officer of the court. And lawyers do have a responsibility towards the public interest, otherwise they’d be free to lie and manipulate relevant information to protect their client’s ‘interest’, so as high minded as you wanted to sound, you’re dead wrong.
The system worked, so now he wants to use this current climate of crying ‘Racism!’ every time something doesn’t go their way.

In an honest, untainted by the left ,western world you would be correct but I know for a fact that the victim now is receiving less attention than ever before: e.g., recently at a criminal tort from the best university law school here(doesn’t say much as ALL are corrupted by the Left), the emphasis was on the rights of the accused and ONE lone student popped up and dared to ask: “what about the rights of the victim?” and was immediately shot down. From your constant apologetics you seem to be a lawyer although one who has not recently graduated and you seem to still hold fast to the ancient virtues of the western legal system. Well all that has changed now and the determination to find a reason for acts of violence has now evolved into finding excuses based upon their race, social status, ideology etc. The excuses “cultural difference” or “mental illness” are typical examples and they are a cop out by a legal system which is afraid of being honest.

It is clinging to such lunatic “proofs” of western civilization that has us in this mess in the first place and the end result will be a sharia state with NO such freedoms. The ONLY way to protect our freedoms is to fight those who would destroy them and that includes this creature and frankly this appeal is ludicrous and only a bleeding heart or a leftist would say that it is not. I know a once pacifist who was taught a lesson in how easy it makes for those without conscience: they laughed as they hurt that woman and only stopped when they were killed. Kindness, tolerance, and clemency are foreign to them and they exploit it so think about it for a second. To survive and keep these qualities means that we must drop them and fight. Trying to maintain them in the face of such contempt means that they WILL be lost forever.

Tell them jury will consist of non-muslims because its non-muslim majority country and they will decide based on evidence. If you don’t like the system you should not have come into this country and committed criminal offense.

A muslim jury is not workable in an actual court situation. As muslims follow shariah, where rape is not a crime, he would be found not guilty. However in western society where the rule of law makes rape a crime, he would be judged on his actions, not the perversions of the qur’an.

Lawyers are truly the scum of the Earth, defending the indefensible. Rape is a crime and there can be NO mitigating circumstances or excuses, least of all the fact that someone is just following his backward religion where women are treated appallingly. I wonder how this one would react if a Muslim raped HIS wife – would he be quite so keen to defend the rapist and say it would be “Islamophobic” to prosecute him??

Wow, Mike. Perhaps you take satisfaction in knowing that you share the opinion of Ayatollah Khomeini, who claimed, “Defense lawyers merely slow down trials”.
But I will venture to say that rape of a spouse should not even be a legal charge (absent a restraining order). In fact, that was the case in most of the USA for many years. Courts have better things to do than deliberate over whether or not Mrs. Jones had a headache that night.

a decent defence lawyer would not cry “islamophobia” and more of that BS. He or she would recommend “clemency” and ask that the predator should be sent to a mental institution and be given medication to reduce his sexual urges until he reaches the age in which these disappear completely and then be kicked out of Ireland back to wherever he came from.

John Adams volunteered to be the defense attorney for the soldiers who committed the Boston Massacre, because he believed that everyone deserves to have a lawyer representing them.
I cannot stand lawyers anymore than you do, but the difference between an “attorney” and a “jurist” is that a jurist studies the law as a pure science whereas an attorney is in service to their clients. Legal ethics REQUIRE that lawyers represent their clients and provide the best possible counsel and defense.
Any lawyer who does not do everything he possibly can, and anything that he can possibly think of to get the most advantageous outcome for the client would risk being disbarred.
Just because a lawyer files a motion on behalf of his client, is no guarantee that the motion will be granted, but he is ethically required to serve his client by filing the motion.

A muslum judge in Pennsylvania dismissed all charges against a fellow muslum for choking an atheist dressed as Zombie Muhammad at a Halloween parade — despite the fact there were a handful of witnesses, including the witnesses that dragged the f’ing muslums off of the guy.

Doubtless all multiculturalists will agree with him: Ireland is “too much Catholic” and more Mohammedans are needed to “balance” this country, i.e., call for more and unrestricted immigration. Once the dam is crossed by the first Mohammedan to “emigrate” to spread Islam, the others will follow until given country is completely dominated and subjugated. Here is the pattern: Not enough Mohammedan jurors? Injustice! Not enough Mohammedans (yet) to populate a jury? Why, bring more of them from “Syria”!

*There are 63,400 practising Muslims living in the Republic of Ireland and approximately 50 mosques and prayer centres within the State, with five Muslim clergymen or qualified imams.
*According to the 2016 Census, the results of which were published last April, 63,400 of Ireland’s 4,761,865 population declared their religion as Islam.
*The largest mosque is in Dublin, the Clonskeagh mosque or the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland, which about 5,000 people attend. The Al-Mustafa Islamic Centre Ireland or the Islamic Centre in Blanchardstown has approximately 2,000 members and the IFI on the South Circular Road also has the same.

So let me see if a Western man rapes a woman and is found guilty he is convicted and sentenced by Western law but if if a Western criminal converts to islam he could under sharia court be found not guilty. No wonder the prisons are flocking to islam and notice the majority of prisoners are black. For many of them its an opportunity to try to play the race card against whitey, serve their sexual desires and get holy (get away with it).
