New York Times: Don’t Be Afraid of “Allahu Akbar,” It’s Just an “Everyday Phrase”

51

After every jihad massacre, the enemedia rushes to scrub and whitewash Islam. This is their first and foremost priority. And so now we’re hearing about how the phrase “Allahu akbar,” which jihadis routinely shout as they kill, is really just wonderful. The NY Times has now run two pro-Allahu akbar pieces in as many pieces. It is why I wrote my book, FATWA: Hunted in America.

The fact is “Allahu Akbar” was Muhammad’s jihadi war cry. It was the “rebel yell” of the invading Muslim armies. Muhammad would wait until daybreak before he would strike a village. If he heard the Muslim call to prayer and the identifying “Allahu Akbar” chanted in that prayer, he would not attack. If the Muslim call to prayer was not heard, Muhammad and his mujaheddin would then kill, rape, pillage while screaming, “Allahu Akbar!,” Allah is greater [than your god].

This campaign by the left to dissemble, deceive and disarm the American people in the greatest threat to our lives is evil.

Story continues below advertisement

“NYT: Don’t Be Afraid of ‘Allahu Akbar,’ It’s Just an ‘Everyday Phrase,’” by Trey Sanchez, Truth Revolt, November 2, 2017 (thanks to Todd):

Islamic terror has struck America once again and the national media is bending over backward to try and stifle any Muslim backlash — which never happens, by the way. To them, the real victims are Muslims; forget the eight who died in New York City on Halloween. The Islam apologists are crawling out from under their rocks and Muslim-splaining us on the real meaning of the phrase “Allahu akbar,” which was shouted during Tuesday’s attack.

Eric Nagourney, writing for The New York Times, wants to reassure everyone that “Allahu akbar” is just a simple, “everyday phrase” used by Muslims worldwide and many times to wish others well. There’s nothing to fear, he writes, it simply means “God is great.” Nagourney laments that the phrase has been “intertwined with terrorism.” The writer quotes a random Muslim in his article, H. A. Hellyer, who regularly offers the phrase to fellow Muslims and welcomes it back from them.

“Many Westerners may find it hard to believe these days, but Mr. Hellyer does not recoil in fear [when he hears, ‘Allahu Akbar’],” states Nagourney.

And though he mentions the recent jihad in New York City and several other Islamic attacks across the globe where “Allahu akbar” was the last sound many heard before they died, Nagourney insists the phrase “is so commonplace a saying as to be utterly unworthy of note.” He then lists several instances suggested by an Egyptian author that paints the phrase as no different than a common greeting:

“You can say ‘Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar,” and you’re pushing them along, like, “Go for it, go for it, go for it.’”

“You see a really beautiful woman or a good-looking guy, you go, ‘Allahu akbar.’”

Nagourney does back bends to convince readers the phrase has been “seized on by jihadists,” much like Linda Sarsour when she tries to explain that “jihad” means nothing less than “struggle.” So, when she called for jihad against President Trump, she only means “resist.” Got it.

Yet, after all of the gymnatics, Nagourney finally concedes that “there is no denying that what it means can depend on who is saying it.” Yeah, we’ve noticed.

But the NYT wasn’t the only outlet whitewashing Islam for us clueless Westerners. CNN was at it, too, securing a piece by Imam Omar Suleiman, the founder and president of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and an adjunct professor of Islamic Studies at Southern Methodist University. He desperately wrote the day after the NYC attack:

Contrary to what many people seem to think, the words “Allahu Akbar” simply mean “God is greater.” It is a powerful declaration used by Muslims on many occasions and in many prayers. It is a celebration of life, the first words fathers whisper in the ears of their newborns. They are used to indicate gratitude when God bestows something upon you that you would have been incapable of attaining were it not for divine benevolence. It is a prayerful phrase that reminds us that, no matter what our concerns may be, God is greater than them…

Is “Allahu Akbar” sometimes used as a battle cry? Yes, though as Sen. John McCain has argued on Fox News, that does not make the phrase itself abhorrent. While noting that “moderate Muslims” also say “Allahu Akbar,” McCain said the phrase is no more troubling that a Christian saying “Thank God.”

Forgive us for not buying it, because a search for how many people have been bombed, shot, or ran over after someone shouted, “Thank God,” returned exactly zero results. There is a particular phrase, however, that is shouted before violent acts, but the leftist media doesn’t want anyone taking that out of “context.”…

Trump cannot ban Islam, but God can. Why would you thank Allah when you’re slaughtering humans? Why is that so good? Should we as well, thank Allah that fellow humans are suffering and dying? Islam is a cancer against the American way of life, but mostly against humanity. One of Satan’s greatest tools.

You nailed it. It’s a lot like the old testament. God is allowing Islam to creep into our midst because our culture has become corrupt, decadent, and full of perversion. If we turn back to him and seek his face we can have his good graces again.

True, very True. The avenue by which America will be destroyed has been fully paved by the body of true believers, those born again: the Church. The very Salvation of America ,and subsequent Peace rests there as well. 2 Chronicles 7. 14. The one true God, the God of the Bible is not willing that ANY should perish, but that all would come to repentance.

Muslims will grow and grow. Having large families, they never abort, and live in the cause of their devil moon God. Westerners live to please themselves and lust after being “happy”. We are in a war. They are coming for our country. What are we going to do?

“We are in a war” — and they declared it first.

What are we to do? Be aware and know thy enemy. Read the Koran and hadiths, more than once, until you understand it perfectly, then one is able to catch them in their lies and deceptions. That is the first thing we must do, and it looks like that is being done more and more. There are more people on this site who are hep to Islam, more than they were several years ago, and that is a good start. Ten years ago I couldn’t find any American who understood it like I did. It drove me crazy to hear the nonsense spouted on TV and the radio. Now there are dozens who have caught on to the teachings of Islam. Let it be an exponential curve upwards.

it simply means “God is great.”

That’s the first time I’ve seen anyone translate it as anything other than “greater” or “greatest”.

It’s a declaration of supremacy that ought to be as taboo as a nazi salute. The NYT mis-translating like that shows they know the need to hide what it really means.

Yes, it does not mean god is great. It’s a comparative: God is greater. It’s a statement of supremacy. “Our (Islamic) god is greater than your God.

So in order to prove that point they need to push non Muslims off of buildings or run them over on a New York city bike path with a rented out Home Depot Truck??? I mean how ridiculous is that? To kill a human being by declaring that your god is greater than someone else’s god is pure foolishness. It is a mindset that has no credibility or reason. There is nothing to it.
A god to be considered a true God is spiritual and has power in the spiritual world not in the world of flesh and bones. To know the true greatness of a God is determine by what can be done to you in the afterlife which is having the capability to destroy one’s soul…end of story.

Beautiful? The NYT’s carrying water for Islam is so disgusting.
Allahu Akbar is essentially a war cry that is screamed at every atrocity a Muslim does to a kafir or apostate (like when they push gays from building tops). It reassures the Muslim killer that his god is greatest, i.e., greater than that of the filthy, hell-bound kafir he’s murdering.

Allah u Akbar means “God is the Greatest.” Muslims are taught to say this when something good happens. In the case of a jihadi attack they are saying these murders are good. The phrase is also used for numerous other innocent situations. I have studied Islam and you can read about the use of the phrase in muslim “Sunday School” booklets. I have never seen instructions to use it after committing the mass murder of innocents. But they use it that way anyway. If Springer hits a homer, a muslim might say Allah u Akbar, for example. If you get an A on a midterm, and so on. In general useage today it is being used as a battle cry in non-battle attacks. People rightly fear the cry here.

“I have never seen instructions to use it after committing the mass murder of innocents”

Ah, keyword: “innocents.” If you read the Koran and are honest about it, you know that it states that infidels, unbelievers are not innocent. Verbal trickery.

Also Mohammed tells believers [in the Koran and hadiths] to yell the phrase just before they murder their victims, to let them know why they are dying, to strike terror in their hearts just before being sent to Hell (or so they believe.) This is why they yell it on the battlefield. Mohammed demands it. It is not a “celebration of life,” but is the heart of Islamic terrorism. It says to the victim, “Our god is greater than your God.” Islamic supremacy. Of course the Islamic god is satan, “The Greatest of Deceivers”.

You won’t get away with dissembling on this site. We’ve caught on.

The NYT is irrelevant; its preaching such outlandish lies betrays its absurdity. This mindless utterance is a prime indicator that the NYT is another by-product spewing Leftist and Islamic propaganda. Indeed, it is time for our leadership to draw a line in the sand regarding Muslim immigration. There is major one dilemma affecting our President’s mandate and our nation; the nation is not directed by President Trump’s administration or the two houses, but the judiciary, the US Department of Justice.

Obviously, the Democrats and RINOS are complicit in this issue, as well. The enablers of the corrupt politicos, the DoJ and other government agencies have a free rein to overlook or aid and abet the true political criminals, those bent on this nations end.

Considering how often “allahu akbar” is used in terrorist attacks, people have every right to be afraid of it. The phrase itself might not have originally been meant as a murder-cry, but it sure is associated with it now.

Kind of like in the Holocaust….the Swastika wasn’t originally a Nazi slogan at all, it was a symbol originated in Asia, and it meant something good–like luck, or something, I can’t remember exactly. But since Hitler used it, it’s been associated with genocide, and now no one will ever look at it the way it was originally meant to be.

It never ceases to amaze me how one group–whether Nazis or ISIS–can take a symbol or a phrase and ruin it for everyone else.

Remember, I’d written: Considering how often “allahu akbar” is used in terrorist attacks, people have every right to be afraid of it.

I was also venting about how frustrated I am that bad guys always ruin life for everyone else. Murder, terrorism, taking symbols that once meant something and making them into hate.

You’re right that jihadists have been doing this stuff for centuries, and we definitely need to protect ourselves from attacks.

“[Allahu Akbar]… simply means “God is great.” It does not! It means: “Allah is greater.” Arabic word for “great” is “kabir,” not “akbar,” so if it would suppose to mean “God is great” it would be like: “Allahu kabir.”

Don’t be afraid of “Allahu Akbar???”

The ability to distinguish between fact (objective reality) and fiction (subjective reality) is an essential survival skill.

Children are easily controlled because they live in the world of feelings and subjective reality. They have not been taught the critical thinking skills required to survive as adults in the world of objective reality.

Civil society and the laws that govern it are based on the acceptance of objective reality. The idea of blind justice is foundational because it evaluates the WHAT of behavior not the WHO. This is an extremely important distinction because it separates childish feelings that focus on the WHO of behavior from adult rational thinking that focuses on the WHAT. This is how it works.

Thought precedes behavior.

If a society can be pressured to remain in eternal childhood they never progress past the WHO of behavior – they remain stuck in the emotional world of childhood accepting what they are told without the critical thinking skills to question the information – the WHAT. They are the unaware compliant population that Hillary Clinton idealized.

The current left-wing liberal progressive (really regressive) identity politics focuses on the WHO of behavior. If you are a member of the group your behavior is defended no matter how anti-social or criminal it is because the metric is the childish WHO of behavior and not the WHAT.

Leftists are at war with America. The movement to indoctrinate America toward the subjective reality of childhood and away from the objective reality of adulthood is a weapon of war. Progressives are determined to infantilize society in an effort to destroy American democracy and replace it with socialism. Obama’s lawless “resistance” movement of identity politics seeks to topple the government of President Trump.

Identity politics are tribal. Like children, tribalism evaluates behavior according to WHO not WHAT is being done. Telling people not to worry about “Allahu Akbar” completely ignores the WHAT of jihadi behavior and is a prime example of identity politics disingenuously focusing on the WHO exclusively. The Left has embraced Islam and ignores the anti-American tenets of Islamic sharia law (WHAT). The Left ignores the stated objective of Islamists to destroy the West and establish an Islamic caliphate.

The Leftist/Islamist war against America is an information war that is pressuring the public to become unaware and compliant – to remain children without the information to make informed decisions about their future. Childhood is the position of powerlessness. A public who only evaluates the WHO of behavior and ignores the WHAT will remain the eternal victims that their identity politics exploit.

From kindergarten through college young Americans are being encouraged to remain perpetual children. In primary school they are disingenuously told they are all butterflies (subjective reality). Individual achievement is discouraged and collectivism is encouraged. By the time they reach college they are so fragile these butterflies require safe spaces and Play-Doh to cope with opposing ideas. This diabolical invitation to remain a nation of children is a sinister campaign to force the public into subjective reality where they will remain unaware, compliant, and easily controlled. A childish dependent population is precisely what the Left needs to destroy American democracy and replace it with socialism.

America is at a crossroads and whoever prevails in the ruthless Leftist information war will determine our future. Blind justice evaluates behavior according to WHAT is being done not WHO is doing it which insures that no one is above the law. Blind justice preserves our democracy and is our guarantee of freedom against tyranny. Freedom is the casualty when the blindfolds come off and the tribal norms of identity politics take over.

This is a battle that must be won. We must demand growth and a commitment to objective reality in our nascent Reality Revolution. We must examine the WHAT of behavior and oppose the Leftist war against America that focuses on the WHO. We must commit ourselves to adulthood and encourage critical thinking skills to oppose the malevolent Leftist plan to keep Americans stuck in childhood. Socialism is not a gift it is the theft of individual freedom.

The Leftist/Islamist axis is a threat to American freedom. We must accept the reality that “Allahu Akbar” is Muhammad’s jihadi war cry – it is not an everyday phrase to ignore.

Our Reality Revolution must reject the Leftist offer to remain unaware, compliant, eternal children. Only fully actualized aware adults insistent upon transparency and the accurate facts of objective reality have the power to oppose this attack on America. We must reject subjective reality, identity politics, and tribalism. We must reject perpetual victimhood and powerlessness. We must embrace adulthood and grow up.
