Jihadi Bride Begs to Be Let Back in Germany: ‘I Made a Mistake’

Nadja Ramadan, 31, left Germany for Syria in 2014 and started a family with an ISIS terrorist — but now she wants to return to her homeland, and is begging Angela Merkel go give her permission.

She cut a video to plead with Merkel. In it, she holds her baby son and tells Merkel: “I made a mistake.”

She then says that for the sake of her children, Merkel should let her come back to Germany.

Ramadan was sent to a refugee camp but now wants to return to Germany.

And Germany is actually trying to help her — though says she may face a trial if allowed to return.

The Express has the story:

Appearing in a video with her son sleeping in lap, she speaks to Ms Merkel directly, saying she “made a mistake”.

She added: “Please, I need your help, please help us. I would like to go back to Germany with my two children.

“Please help us to get back to Germany very quickly. I want my children to grow up normally, that my children go to kindergarten, that my children go to school.”

She reportedly ended up in Syria Rakka, the capital of ISIS, immediately married a jihadist fighter from Hamburg and had three children.

She said she wanted to “live in peace in an Islamic world, serve God and raise my children”.

Ramadan claims she is not dangerous and that she was unable to shoot because she is afraid of weapons.

She said she spent her time home cooking, reading the Koran and watching movies.

She also said: “The time under ISIS rule was the best time of my life.”

Although she claims she is not dangerous, she also says that the Caliphate is now defeated because it was not “strict enough”.
Political scientist Heiner Vogel said women who end up in ISIS or other jihadist groups have a naive quality.

But he added: “The naiveté, which these women suggest, is partly true, but also calculated to survive.

“Many women took an active part in the ISIS propaganda and recruitment. They weren’t just harmless wives and mothers, most of them knew what they were doing in Syria.”

According to reports, Ramadan narrowly escaped Syria in the beginning of 2017.

She was stopped at a Kurdish checkpoint, spent 18 days in prison and then was sent to a refugee camp in Ain Issa, in the section for ISIS members.

A spokesman for the German Foreign Office confirmed that her German nationality will not be revoked.

The embassy in Ankara is trying to get her and her children into Germany via Turkey.

The Kurdish security forces agreed to hand her over to German diplomats, but if she returns to Germany she will face trial.

Two women returning from Syria have been tried in Bavaria, both were converts and mothers.

One woman was sentenced to three years in prison for kidnapping three of her four children and living with Islamists in Syria.

The other woman only received a probation sentence of 1.5 years.
