At least 15 people were killed after vehicles crashed into pedestrians on the La Rambla boulevard in Barcelona and on a promenade in the coastal city of Cambrils. It is believed Younes Abouyaaqoub drove one of them

Officers confirmed that a man wearing a suicide belt had been shot by police, but the device was later revealed to be fake.
The shooting took place in Subirats, a town about an hour’s drive west from Barcelona.
Bomb disposal officers are using a robot to inspect the suspected explosive device.
Cops have confirmed that the man shot dead is Abouyaaqoub.
A tweet said: “We confirm that the person killed in the incident of #Subirats is Younes Abouyaaqoub, author of the terrorist attack in #Barcelona.”
