Reports out today allege that Mayor Zohran Mandani’s own City Hall is running a secret bot farm on X to fake public support for him.

Here’s what that means in plain terms: instead of real New Yorkers liking and sharing his posts, cyber experts say a network of automated accounts, have been mass-liking, replying, and boosting his content. Which makes it look far more popular than it actually is, tricking the platform’s algorithm into showing it to millions more people.

Investigators say they’re “100% sure” the IP addresses behind this operation trace back to City Hall itself, meaning taxpayer-funded infrastructure may have been used to manufacture fake grassroots enthusiasm.

If confirmed, this isn’t a PR embarrassment, it’s potential misuse of public resources, a probable violation of city ethics rules, and a platform manipulation scheme dressed up as “digital savvy.”

New Yorkers deserve real accountability, not an astroturfed illusion of popularity built on their own dime.

Post independently consulted the cyber experts involved, who said they are “100% sure” the IP addresses could be traced to City Hall.

Dozens of suspected bot accounts on X/Twitter are amplifying content from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his circle, and reportedly can be traced to New York City Hall IP infrastructure, the World Zionist Organization told The Jerusalem Post exclusively.

As part of its activities against the waves of antisemitism online, WZO’s dedicated Department for Combating Antisemitism was presented with data and findings collected by cyber experts specializing in the field.

The information included an analysis of IP addresses and mapping of activity patterns and distribution networks of suspected bot accounts.
