Heavily-Armed Suspect Arrested at Trump California Golf Course Before POTUS Visit

All it takes is one – one successful assassin and that is what the Democrats are counting on. They are engaged in civil war whether the right wants to recognize it or not. But ignoring it is, surrender.

President Trump had an event scheduled at his Palos Verdes golf course on Tuesday night. Just hours before: authorities announced that they had arrested a heavily armed individual seen wandering the grounds Sunday. L.A. County sheriff’s deputies responded to the golf course around 3:30 p.m. Sunday after plainclothes federal agents saw a suspicious man taking photographs and appearing to monitor security-planning activities. Deputies detained the man, who was identified as Jeanine John Taele, 38, of Downey. They found a loaded magazine in his pants pocket and a loaded pistol and additional ammunition in his car in the parking lot at Trump National Golf Club. They also determined he was under investigation for robbery by the El Segundo Police Department….  On Monday, sheriff’s detectives and FBI agents searched his Downey residence and found an alarming stash of weapons — including an illegally modified AR-style rifle, a .45-caliber pistol, body armor, high-capacity magazines and bulk pistol ammunition. Detectives found multiple notebooks containing “concerning statements” and two radio signal devices (Los Angeles Times).

Heavily-armed suspect filmed Trump security at California golf course as modified weapons, mugshot seen for first time

An armed man allegedly scouted President Trump’s California golf club before the commander in chief’s visit, and investigators say the arrest uncovered an illegal rifle, body armor and a weapons stash.

Jeanine John Taele, 38, of Downey, was charged in a federal criminal complaint with possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle after his arrest Saturday at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The felony carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.

Federal agents were conducting security sweeps ahead of Trump’s Aug. 4 visit when they spotted Taele on July 31 walking around the course wearing an earpiece while taking photos and videos of security-planning activities, according to court papers.

Taele returned to the club Saturday, prompting staff to alert authorities.

He allegedly approached federal agents and falsely claimed he worked for the State Department and was assigned to a security detail.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded and discovered Taele had an outstanding El Segundo warrant tied to a robbery case.

Deputies found a 16-round magazine loaded with hollow-point ammunition in his pocket.

A search of his pickup truck turned up a loaded 9mm pistol with a round chambered, another loaded magazine filled with hollow-point ammunition, binoculars and a badge labeled “security protection agent.”

Investigators then searched Taele’s home Sunday, where they seized an illegally modified AR-platform rifle that had never been registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record, along with additional firearms, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, body armor, an earpiece, two radio signal devices and notebooks containing concerning statements.

“While we are still investigating the motives of this individual, we are thankful he was apprehended before the President’s visit,” First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli said. “Federal and local law enforcement stepped in early and prevented what could have been a dangerous situation from occurring.”

FBI Los Angeles Assistant Director in Charge Patrick Grandy said Taele’s actions “raised serious red flags” just days before Trump’s arrival.

“There is no room for error, particularly in light of previous attempts on President Trump’s life,” Grandy said.
