Given all that has happened over the last few days, the Islamic regime that Ali Ahmad Khomeini’s grandfather founded may never get that chance. But make no mistake: the Islamic nation worldwide will keep trying to destroy Israel, because it’s taught in the Qur’an that the Jews are the worst enemies of the Muslims (5:82) and that the Muslims must “drive them out from where they drove you out” (2:191). The Israelis really didn’t drive out the Arabs; the Arab Higher Committee told the Arabs to leave in 1948. But the last was once ruled by Islamic law and so according to that same law, it belongs to Islam forever.
