Across the country, travelers are being trapped in hours-long security lines, sometimes in bitter cold and driving rain, while TSA officers—essential workers charged with protecting the flying public—are forced to work without pay. More than 50,000 TSA employees have gone weeks without checks, absenteeism has surged, and hundreds have already quit, deepening the chaos at airports nationwide. Into that disgraceful vacuum stepped Elon Musk, offering to cover TSA salaries during the funding impasse—a stark reminder of what real patriotism looks like when Washington fails. When an American steps up to defend working people and shield the public from the consequences of partisan sabotage, he exposes the Democrats for what they are: a party willing to punish the country to advance its own political aims.
