“DEATH TO KHAMENEI!”: Iran Uprising Explodes, Police Defect, IRGC Collapses in Tehran as Banks Burn and Towns Go Regime-Free

Events inside Iran are accelerating at a breathtaking pace as the freedom uprising enters a decisive phase. Brave Iranians have torched an Islamic City Council building, openly defying the clerical state as the regime reels from cascading losses abroad—its influence in Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza has collapsed, while at home the economy is in freefall, electricity and water are scarce, and the rial has lost roughly 60 percent of its value.

Islamic occupation is visibly cracking: police units in Ilam have joined protesters, IRGC-linked banks such as Bank Sepah have been attacked, and parts of the security apparatus are retreating. Despite reinforcements, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has lost effective control of Tehran, with Abdanan and Malekshahi reported fully liberated as chants of “Death to Ali Khamenei” echoed through the streets.

Overnight, explosions rocked the capital, a petrol station was hit, and an IRGC transport bus was destroyed, signaling a shift from protest to sustained resistance. Regionally, the Israel Defense Forces have moved to high alert, striking Hezbollah targets and convening extended security deliberations as a warning to Tehran’s proxies. Momentum is building on every front; as opposition leader Maryam Rajavi declared in saluting the Resistance Units, this fire is spreading—and it may no longer be containable.

With police defecting, IRGC positions collapsing in Tehran, banks and regime assets burning, and towns declared regime-free, Iran’s fast-moving revolt enters a decisive phase as Khamenei’s rule visibly unravels.

And as Iranians bleed and cities burn for freedom, the sharia-compliant media does what it always does—covers for the mullah regime, buries the truth, and chooses silence and obedience over journalism.

Iranian officials tell a crowd of university students to chant “Death to America, Death to Israel.”

The students respond with “Death to Palestine.”

So far, the cities of Malekshahi and Abdanan are reported to be entirely liberated and regime-free.

But they will not be able to hold these cities unless people in other major cities and provinces rise up so much that the regime won’t have the numbers to ship in IRGC to crush them. Iran needs to spread these bastards thin and keep them from overpowering any one location.

In other words, there is a window here for the people of Iran to push control out of Khamenei’s hands on a massive scale.

Malekshahi and Ilam show a new front of the uprising.

Banks linked to the IRGC, including Bank Sepah, have been targeted and destroyed – striking at the regime’s financial lifelines.

Scenes from Tehran show just how far the balance has shifted.

Despite reinforcements, armored vehicles, and water cannons, regime forces failed to regain control. Young Iranians stood their ground, forcing security units to withdraw.

The regime’s response has shifted toward mass arrests and intimidation, with reports of over a thousand detained. But the tactic isn’t working. Crowds keep growing, morale is holding, and control continues to slip.

An incident unfolded overnight in southern Tehran.

A bus transporting IRGC personnel was ambushed and destroyed. The condition of those onboard remains unconfirmed, but their transport was taken out of operation.

Tensions in the capital continue to escalate as the uprising enters a more volatile phase.

More explosions overnight in Tehran.

Anti-regime actions have escalated with a petrol station targeted. After days of dismissal and downplaying online, the situation has visibly intensified – fires, blasts, and unrest spreading across the capital.

What was once called exaggeration is now unfolding in real time. The uprising has entered a new phase.

The IDF have moved to high alert, striking Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and sending a clear message to the IRGC and its proxies.

A five-hour Israeli security cabinet meeting has outlined next steps as tensions rise and preparations accelerate. Military drills are underway, intelligence is active, and the region is being closely watched.

Nine days into the uprising in Iran, pressure is building on every front – inside the country and across the region.
