The left is violent, dictatorial and merciless. Colombian presidential candidate Miguel Uribe is fighting for his life in a hospital after being shot in the head during a rally.
World leaders on the right are being systematically targeted for violence, persecution and death. Donald Trump was shot, targeted for death multiple times, in Ecuador Fernando Villavicenc was assassinated. In Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro was stabbed. In France, Marine Le Pen is convicted on trumped up charges and banned from 2027 presidential race.
And “right wing” is used as smear, a dysphemism for rational and reasoned.

Senator Miguel Uribe, 39, was attacked by armed subjects during political event in Bogota

A Colombian senator and presidential candidate was shot on Saturday in Bogotá, the government and his campaign said.
ADVERTISEMENTMiguel Uribe, 39, was hosting a campaign event in a public park in the Fontibon neighborhood when “armed subjects shot him in the back.”
His party described the attack as serious but didn’t go into detail about his condition.

He is a member of the opposition right-wing Democratic Center party, founded by former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe.
The party called the attack “an unacceptable act of violence.”
Videos circulating on social media appeared to show Uribe after the attack covered in blood with a possible head wound as people attempt to stem the bleeding.
