After backstabbing RINOs betrayed the party by refusing to vote for Trump’s pick for DC US Attorney’s office, Trump appointed Judge Jeanine Pirro and named Ed Martin. How’s that for making lemonade out of lemons? We’re still getting Ed Martin but now we get Judge Jeanine too. Martin was named to a senior DOJ position heading the investigation into Biden-era weaponization of the DOJ against conservatives.
President Trump: “I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday. “Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York. She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!”
The announcement comes just hours after the president announced that Martin, his nomination stalled in the Senate, would no longer be his candidate for the capital city’s top federal prosecutor. Senator Thom Tillis refused to allow Ed Martin’s confirmation to be voted on by the full Senate.

Bear in mind that these back stabbing Republicans voted for all of Biden’s disastrous nominees.

Look, even Adam Schiff and Chris Hayes are relieved at the potential of Ed Martin not getting confirmed.

The Unforgivable Betrayal of the Do Nothing GOP Congress
Trump announced on Truth Social that he was appointing Pirro to the job on an interim basis. “In addition to her Legal career, Jeanine previously hosted her own Fox News Show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, for ten years, and is currently Co-Host of The Five, one of the Highest Rated Shows on Television,” Trump posted. “Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York,” he continued. “She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!” It was not immediately clear if Trump intended to nominate Pirro to the job on a full-time basis, which would require Senate confirmation (The Hill).
So then, what do we do with Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC)?
He succeeded in stopping Ed Martin from being US Attorney, only to be replaced by Judge Jeanine Pirro.
Tillis is a swing state Republican up for reelection.

Ed Martin is a very good man and close friend of mine.
We have some Republicans in the Senate who refused to vote for him.

Treacherous Senate Republicans are going to wish Ed Martin stayed on as DC U.S. Attorney.
Trump moved Harris to the Department of Justice as its “Director of the Weaponization Working Group, Associate Deputy Attorney General, and Pardon Attorney.”
“In these highly important roles, Ed will make sure we finally investigate the Weaponization of our Government under the Biden Regime, and provide much needed Justice for its victims. Congratulations Ed!” Trump wrote.
