Harvard’s lawsuit against Trump Administration was predictable, as was its request for a TRO. Will a court blindly issue a TRO, given there is no immediate harm per the letter? Probably
The harm is for the upcoming academic year–months away and the letter even gave Harvard 72 hours to comply and that time has not even passed. No reason court couldn’t have set afternoon hearing.
And at that afternoon hearing, Trump Administration could explain that there is no immediate impact so no need for TRO. Here’s letter:

Also of note is “merits”: Contrary to what headlines suggest, termination of status is based on failure to comply w/ “reporting requirements,” which makes it a diff. case than termination cause I don’t like your DEA policies. I need to review reporting requirements to assess.

his is just the number of Trump’s decisions blocked before the trial is complete.
And some of these decisions have multiple cases.
