NY Post:

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump paid their respects to Pope Francis ahead of the pontiff’s funeral on Saturday morning.

The Trumps had a front-row seat to the services despite prior speculation that Vatican protocol would have them behind powerful archbishops, bishops, cardinals and reigning monarchs.

Trump, donning a navy suit and tie, and Melania, wearing a black lace ensemble, were flanked by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Estonian President Alar Karis.

NYP: President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had “a very productive discussion” ahead of Pope Francis’ funeral Saturday, marking the first time the two met since their explosive Oval Office clash nearly two months ago.

“President Trump and President Zelenskyy met privately today and had a very productive discussion,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said, according to reports.

Further details about the meeting will follow, Cheung added.

Trump’s special envoy also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.

After arriving in Rome, the president said on Truth Social that it was a “good day in talks and meetings with Russia and Ukraine.”

The meetings followed a week of public attacks on Zelensky from Trump, who blamed him for holding up peace talks in its three-year war with Russia.
